"We stayed for one night this week, arriving 20 mins before the kitchen closed and were pretty ripe from two days of walking and sleeping out. The staff were really helpful in getting us fed. The food was really good, I had the chicken and leek pie, my other half had the chicken bhuna. Parking was pretty tight, but to be expected for the number of guests. The room was nice, well equipped but slightly let down by the bathroom which smelled slightly of mould due to no exterior window. Overall, we'd definitely stay again for the food and views."

"Ideally situated for the castle and jail up hill and the town down hill. Room was comfortable, large and quiet at the back of the hotel. Parking was busy at the front of the hotel but we parked easily at the back. Breakfast was excellent: both cooked and cold selections available."

"We stayed for one night to break a journey, very friendly staff food in bar very good. Rooms very dated and furniture old but it was acceptable, very quite location good nights sleep. Windows in the bed room opened lovely and wide so loads of fresh air on a hot night. Wonderful view of the Wallace monument. Did not have breakfast as early start.Loads of parking on site and not charged if you entered your reg at reception."

"We stayed at Duck Bay while travelling from Yorkshire to Mull, and it was exactly what we needed. The views across Loch Lomond are truly stunning, and watching the sunrise on the morning of our departure was a beautiful moment. The food was outstanding in both quality and taste โ a real highlight of our stay. But it wasnโt just the scenery or the fantastic room that made the experience memorable; it was the people. Every member of staff we met was welcoming, upbeat, and clearly proud of the service they provide. Our stay felt calm, comfortable, and well looked after from start to finish. It was a lovely break in the journey, and we left feeling refreshed. Thank you to the Duck Bay team for making our visit so enjoyable."

"The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with many options. The setting of the hotel itself, and it's history was a experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. My only complaint is that the room we reserved was a bit outdated. The old tv had limited channels, dust bunnies here and there on the floor and the furniture was immensely outdated with scratches."

"Decor here was very outdated however we enjoyed our stay here for the following reasons; The bed here was very comfortable. The bar area located by the reception desk had fabulous views of the mountains. And generally the hotel had a warm & cosy feel about it."
