"We had an amazing overnight stay at the Annex. Nancy, the host, could not have been more welcoming, informative and helpful. The cottage was ideal for our particular needs - a rather last minute booking - and very clean and well equipped throughout. It was beautifully warm, and the property is set deep in a very beautiful part of lovely Exmoor. Would highly recommend this cosy cottage for a couple and reasonably priced as well. "

"This is a self service hotel, no staff around, but it works. Rooms were clean, decent size and decent shower. If everything works well then it works great. If you have a problem then it might not be as convenient. Only down score would be the room smelt quite bad. If you are staying for 1 night I would recommend it, though."

"The checking was easy & staff were friendly, The room is up 2 flights of stairs, it is very dated & could do with some tlc. The walls had splatter & marks where something had run down them & the bathroom was dirty in the corner. We couldn't get any hot water from the taps so used the kettle which didn't turn itself off. The toilet seat is so cheep that it bends when you sit on it. although the bedding was clean. The window cill had been burned with a cigarette by the look of it & outside the paint was peeling off."
