"We had a a very comfortable stay. A little outdated, but very clean, comfortable, in a beautiful peaceful and safe area, with a grocery store nearby and easy access to the center.Breakfast was abundant and tasteful with good variety. "

"The stay was really good! The first staff member we meet was amazing and we had the pleasure of talking to him several times. If he had been at the front disk at check-out it would have been a 5/5 experience. But the staff member who was at the front disk at check-out he didn't seems like he wanted to be there and especially helping us. He talk to other people whilst we asked him to help us. He rulled his eyes at us when we asked to have our luggage stored whilst we pick up our car and seemed to be annoyed when he had to get our luggage when we got back. A 3.5/5 experience because of him and the very expensive parking in the area. The hotel was good, in a nice area and easy to get around."

"If you read my previous review on this hotel, you will probably be surprised that I returned. The management offered me their nicest room with the breakfast to try and compensate for my previous day. This room was clean, although two black towels were found behind a chair that were obviously nothing to do with the hotel. It was a bit weird sleeping in a round bed with the mirrors above it, one could only imagine that it was 1 way glass with camera above you filming 😬 the bathroom was still something out of the year 2000 and seriously needs a revamp, but my biggest grip, considering you are trying to impress and already disgruntled customer, was the heating did not work and the room was like a fridge. To be totally honest, your hotel is a complete and utter contradiction of itself, the outside of the property looks absolutely beautiful, the disappointment hits you like a tsunami when you walk into a room. All in all, highly disappointing and it would not matter if you offered me a week of free stays, I will not be returning. "

"Staff were so unfriendly, when checking In at bar there were 3 staff members who just looked at me for 5 minutes and when I asked them for help they visibly sighed. Terrible experience "

"The apt mentions it has a restaurant, but it closed during covid and hasn’t reopened. It does serve an excellent breakfast, but the restaurant isn’t open for lunch or dinner. I was there on an Easter Monday, and the majority of the restaurants in the area were closed for the holiday. I would not have stayed at the hotel if I had known the restaurant was closed. "

"This is a tidy little hotel with some architectural charm. The location is also great if you want convenient access to inter-city and local trains. It is literally across the street from the H’burg central station, so all the main U- and S-Bahn trains are within a two minute walk, or less if you’re not weighed down with bags or small children (I probably would not recommend it for those with small children). The proximity to the Hauptbohof station also meant a bit of hustle and bustle, but we did not find that a problem, and it came with some amenities (below). The desk staff were really friendly and accommodating, and we had no problems communicating with them in English (we don’t speak more than a few words of German, so we appreciated their friendly greetings in English). There is a major performing arts center (Shauspielhaus) a block away, so that meant that there were several good eateries within just a few steps of the front door (highly recommend Capri and Vesuvius, both Italian, and Schifferborse; and the breakfast at Mitte Hamburg about three blocks away is delightful—pro tip: get the fluffy pancakes!"

"Incredible, incredible front desk staff. Everyone was lovely to deal with and made me feel very welcome. My room was very nice, and seemed recently freshened. The bed was extremely comfortable; not too hard and not too soft."

"The only comment is regarding the breakfast buffet. We were staying over Palm Sunday weekend and kids were on spring break - so the hotel was full of families with children. The buffet was always crowded. The first few days we went late to avoid the rush, but found out most of the items were not being replenished and those that were available had been picked over. Forget about waiting in line for a cooked egg or omelet. They only have one cook station and the line would stretch back into the other self serve sections. If I did stay there again I would not select the included breakfast rate and use the difference in money to go to a nearby cafe."
