The Cardozo is a perfectly situates hotel for South beach and the Art Deco district. It is very clean and functional and the staff are uniformly excellent in catering for your needs. A slight downside is the absence of a direct route to the lobby without steps, although the Art Deco nature of the design will not allow for this. One major downside is the imposition of a $27 per diem "resort fee", This meant to cover beach chairs, umbrellas and two bottles of water per room per day. So, if you don't use the beach....the water works out at £13.50 a bottle. This fee should only be imposed should you use the beach. Good hotels provide bottled water free of charge.
