Meta beach was lovely and had some lovely bars and restaurants. It is not a tourist town, but everyone was really friendly. Would recommend also visiting Piano and Sant Agnello too.

"When I checked in Luigi told me he gave me an upgrade. When I got to my room, the view of Mt Vesuvius was not there. I had been given a worse room than what I paid for. I was relocated to a room with a view but certainly did not get upgrade."

Meta is about 5 minutes on the train from Sorrento and about 20 minutes from Pompeii so a good bas3 to explore from. Although quite noisy during the day it is very quiet at night. There are a couple of small supermarkets nearby and enough restaurants
