The garden covers an area of 10 acres; its main feature is the collection of rhododendrons and azaleas, which is described as being one of the largest and most dramatic in East Anglia. Japanese Water Gardens were also created; these are located in the southwestern corner of Lodge Plantation, on the other side of the Holt Road. The water gardens are believed to have been planted with more than 2000 Azalea mollis. The gardens are open to the public on only six days per year, usually in May when the rhododendron are at their best.

"Hotel was so hot boiling hot temperature eating area including all Bedroom Rooms requested fan for cooling down in the room but that still didint help Then we was kept up all night from 1230 am through till 4.30am we had noises like pipes rumbling and pipes being filled including loud filling noises and smell above in room. Contacted reception and all they said was please contact duty manager in the morning. "
