We booked a family-style room for our short one-night stay - and it was huge, quiet, clean and comfortable. Immediately overwhelmed by a smell of chorine (or bleach?) which didn't seem to go. Massive modern bathroom (double head shower and large bath). Kettle had burnt element so couldn't use water boiled in it (tasted disgusting). Handy having cereal/toast for breakfast in the room. Kids loved having bath robes to wear. Overall very good value. Shame the kettle was unusable.

I did not like that the reception was at a desk similar to under a staircase that I had to hit a loud bell or go hunt for service. No information was provided to us about area or rules. Got locked out as did not know closing hours. No clock in room or telephone.

- clean and tidy - really nice room for the price. Cannot fault a thing in the room. - staff very helpful - doors don’t have stoppers so they slammed until all guests settled at around 1am - due to area or bad luck was woken up at 3am and 5am by street fights. The screaming match at 5am lasted u til 6am. So pretty much had no sleep.

Air conditioner of the room was not working. I tried to call on reception , no one answered Not happy with the condition of the property At the time of check out , I informed about the condition at reception Lady took it too casual and didn’t bother to apologise

beware you need 4 days notice to inform of changes. we are a pensioner couple on our way to visit seriously ill sister, we got stuck in traffic in Sydney and were unable to make it for first night. Despite informing them we were still charged. Among a rigmarole of exchanges To keep our honour intact, still charged us. thank you Morning Hotel only bad references from us and to anyone we know.

The staff are amazing the Manager, Hazel could do enough for us especially when we had an issue with the electronic key to our room. The staff in the bistro were super friendly and it was wonderful how they look after their older guests.

Big room, the bed is very comfortable, air-con is working properly, bathroom is newly renovated & clean. Unfortunately, the room smelled of cigarettes in spite of the 'no smoking' sign, the drawers were dirty & full of booklets & pamphlets. There was some water left in the kettle, so that's a bit concerning for me. But overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Mornington Hotel. Good value for money & convenient location.

The dining at the restaurant was great. I ordered a senior porterhouse that was perfectly cooking, and the staff are genuinely nice. Our room is of generous size but when we were checking in there was someone's luggage on the king bed. We met one staff member and a couple as we were on the way back to the check in counter to inquire. They said," It was something mistake. This couple should be in room 5." I was so worried about the safety of the whole night, and I wonder how their key can open our room. The safety box in the room also does not function as normal. The $50 deposit was confusing. When we turned on the TV, the TV screen showed us "light breakfast is free". So, we ate four pieces of toast in the fridge, two small bags cereal and two cups of coffee. It cost us $50. It would be the most expensive toast in the world.

Room was very spacious and comfortable. Large shower and great spa tub. Provisions for breakfast was a nice extra. We had issue with extremely noisy reverse cycle a/c but on request we were immediately moved to another room. Would recommend.
