"Dogo Onsen Funaya Was a wonderful place to stay. Great staff at the hotel to assist you in any way. Excellent onsen on the grounds, which includes a sauna. Close to shopping, restaurants, and a public onsen. Our family had a great time!"

"It was an overall average stay, good shopping around hotel. Service was friendly, we got a free upgrade to a slightly bigger room which was nice but a bit dated with the room style and washroom layout, still using a metal key to open the door. The king bed was nice and wide! Things I didn’t like was a lingering sewage type smell from the washroom, toilet flush noise was quite loud and took a while to fill the tank. "

"Great hotel. Lovely staff,polite,hard working. Convenient to everything including the castle and great food. Wish parking was simple like Osaka with turntable and self parking but this is just a wish. Parking was cheaper outside then at hotel was expecting parking to be included in price otherwise would have parked at lot right behind goe cheaper. Maybe I missed that when reserving hotel that there was a charge. "

"The ryokan was well preserved and maintained an old Japanese traditional style house. Our room was a spacious tatami mat room with small and cute yards. Kotatsu (a table with heater) provided a nice touch. The private bath was small but enough for two to three people. It is a good ryokan to experience Japanese Inn, especially people from overseas. One side note, you do not expect to sleep on bed in this Ryokan. Staff was kind and friendly. Recommend!!"

"I felt like I was constantly being watched by the staff at this hotel. I travel a lot and I never felt this way at a “nice” hotel before. I felt very uncomfortable at this hotel due to the staffs that work there. When I went to the vending machine at night, out of nowhere a staff showed up and watched me what I was buying. When I went outside on the terrace to watch the sunset, as soon as I came back inside, a staff walked out to check if I made a mess or not. I wanted to use the laundry...

"Great central location. Walkable to dogo onsen, matsuyama castle and great shopping districts. Convenience store across the road. Breakfast plan and an excellent restaurant. I will definitely be staying here again."
