Maslak Trip

The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Great shower too! Location is excellent for visiting the sights in the Sultanahmet area, but a few steps away from the most crowded areas. I have one complaint: 3 days into our 4 day stay, they told us that breakfast is not included and we would have to pay for breakfast going forward. I showed them the confirmation from hotels.com clearly said "breakfast included"; they showed me the printout from their system that said "room only". I pointed out that it's their responsibility to ensure the information on hotels.com is accurate, not mine. They never apologized. Otherwise I had a great stay. One other note: the hotel is probably not suitable for people with accessibility needs. Entering requires going down a flight of stairs. After that their is an elevator, but it is extremely small.

Excellent location. Excellent breakfast

The staff were unhelpful. The Wi-Fi was not working, and they kept saying they would send someone to check it, but the problem was never fixed. There was also no heating in the room. When we complained, they simply told us to cover ourselves well. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience

Lovely room in a wonderful hotel that is very well located and with very friendly and helpful staff. It was a shame that the spa operated on a segregated basis with different hours for men and women. We did however enjoy have a good hamman and massage as a couple in another nearby hotel.

The room was nice (40m²). Breakfast was good. Room service food was nice, but a little slow at times to arrive. The housekeeping staff and all the hotel staff were pleasant. Aleyna in Aila restaurant was very friendly to my 5 year old son, and he enjoyed the attention. The staff member in the Gold Lounge, whose name is "Seven", was very friendly, talkative, lively and inviting. The Gold Lounge and entirety of floor 15, however, stink of smoke because there's an outdoor terrace adjoining the lounge and smokers go out there but leave the doors wide open and smoke then billows in, pervades the lounge all of floor 15. I opened my door (on floor 15) one day and I instantly smelled tobacco smoke which I find disgusting. I had an awful experience one evening. My 5 year old son woke up vomiting around 11:20pm. He vomited on one of the beds, the floor by the bed, on the bathroom floor and in the sink - blocking the sink. Loads of vomit very quickly. My wife took him to hospital as he had hit his head in the pool area the day before. I called reception by 11:30pm and explained that my son had vomited on the bed, floor, bathroom floor and blocked the sink. They said they would contact housecleaning immediately. 10 minutes went by; I called again. They apologised for the wait. Another 10 minutes went by, I called again and they apologised again. I called a total of FIVE times and waited about 55 minutes for one cleaner to turn up. This was unacceptably slow service for a Fairmont.
