"Redecorated since last visit and it really is beautiful The huge beds and the new decor really impressed. And the staff are very very helpful.As usual, food is amazing. Room and shower room were clean and modern. The public areas are quite stunning and well maintained. Would never stay anywhere else on Lewis! "

"We absolutely loved the County Hotel. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring Stornoway which is a small and walkable town. The staff were extremely kind, courteous and helpful - really friendly and full of excellent advice, going the extra mile. Sunday in Stornoway is very special and there is not much open but the hotel continued to provide breakfast and refreshments throughout the day and facilities for having a take away as well as advice where to find one. There were alternative venues for dinner nearby and we were pleased to see the staff get a rest on the all important Lord's Day. Parking is one issue as it is not clear if parking restrictions will be enforced on the street and there is only a small car park. While it is possible to have a car and stay at this hotel, it is probably most convenient for foot passengers. "
