"Very historic and unique hotel located in the center of San Antonio next to the Alamo and a few minutes walk from the Riverwalk. I enjoyed learning about the history of the property from the display cases in the lobby hall, and drinking in the bar where Teddy Roosevelt recruited his rough riders."

"The hotel is extremely kid friendly. Although I wish there was more evening events for families. My son and husband had golf tournament next door and as we came back from that late event, most the kitchens were shut down. Although one of the restaurants showed it was open til 9pm, at 8:30pm they had a closed sign up. Left us with one restaurant open with a 5 options to order from off a paper menu, nothing healthy or diet friendly. Atmosphere at this point wasn't kid friendly as they had confrence group checked in same day that changed the environment with a kid present. Our stay was 4 day with family of 4. The first two days we had to go through three different managers to get our room cleaned! We were told first time reached out, previous to management conversations, that they were not "prioritizing already checked in rooms, only prioritizing rooms that had been checked out as that was more important ". Mind you we had 3 adults and tween in our party so cleaning wasn't optional for our party...with a $520 price tag each night. It took 2 days to get to finally get our room cleaned after basically begging for it to be done. Amber, front desk manager, finally took care of us and got us on schedule last two days with a $150 comp on bill. Once it was finally addressed room servicing was great and very tidy! Food at 18 Oaks was amazing!! Cannot recommend enough! Be sure to book on OpenTable for reservations as walking in isn't viable option to guarantee a table."

"Awesome hotel right in the middle of the Riverwalk. Room that I was assigned ended up being an error and was occupied. Staff corrected the problem and upgraded me at no cost due the to mishap. 10/10 recommend this property and I will be staying here again!"
