"Like traveling back in time! This is one of those old "motor lodges" where you park right outside your room, which I prefer since we travel with our dogs. The room was straight out of the 60's making the flat screen TV look out of place! Beds were comfortable and everything was meticulously clean. The diamond shaped plastic key fob and metal chairs outside of every room brought back a lot of memories from my younger years!"

"Overall, we had a very nice stay. When we arrived, the power to the hotel and to the surrounding hotels was out due to a transformer malfunction. However this, of course, was not the fault of the hotel. The staff was very helpful. We have two suggestions: 1) the commode in our room was so tiny and low to the ground, it seemed like a child-size commode - never saw one so tiny. 2) there are no grab bars in or around the bathtub/shower. It was a little scary not to have anything to hold onto with all the soap swirling around your feet, or nothing to hold onto when stepping in and out of the tub. Other than the above, everything was clean, the staff was very helpful, and the bedding and pillows were comfortable."

The location was incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore downtown Gettysburg and all the nearby attractions. The hotel has beautiful historic charm while still being clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful, and having a Starbucks right on-site was such a nice bonus for grabbing coffee in the morning before heading out. We really enjoyed the character and atmosphere of the hotel. It was the perfect place to stay during our visit to Gettysburg, and we would definitely stay here again!"
