"On this occasion the room was very small and was disappointed. Have stayed here 4 times previously and always had a better room. Hotel is very central and an ideal location for shops, bars and restaurants. Would stay here again as love Chester."

"Beautiful Victorian building building close to Chester station, literally 1 minute walk from station entry/exit. Easy walk along the canal into the historic city centre. Staff helpful and friendly."

"Excellent stay. The room was lovely, large and immaculate. The pictures on the website do not do the hotel enough justice. It far exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to return. The food and service were fantastic. We ate in Nelson’s and the food was delicious, hot and plentiful. Breakfast was also brilliant quality and the staff were great. The restaurant was an amazing space. We used the spa facilities, again, staff were friendly and helpful. Pool area was very good. The only slight criticism is that the spa changing rooms/showers could do with an upgrade."
