"We stayed in one of the bunk-bed rooms, and overall, I was happy with our accommodations. The sheets on all three beds were clean, as were the shower, sink, toilet, and main surfaces throughout the room.
The smaller details are where the motel feel showed. There was dust and a clothing tag behind the bathroom door, the towel rack needed to be reattached, and several marks on the walls could have been cleaned or touched up. None of these were major issues, but they should be maintained.
My two main concerns were the outdoor areas and the carpet. There was trash, food, and other rubbish left outside rooms and around the property. While guests may have caused it, the hotel should be regularly cleaning these areas because it made the property feel more run-down. Also, both my husband and I noticed that the carpet in our room felt damp.
The pool area was very nice and clean, and my kids really enjoyed the splash pad. Towels were provided for free, although they were quite small.
One of the biggest positives is the location. It is very convenient to Dutch Wonderland, parking is free, and guests are able to enter the park 30 minutes early, which was a great perk.
Overall, we had a good stay. With a little more attention to maintenance and outdoor cleanliness, it could be even better."
"I love staying here whenever I am in the area. This was my third visit and I brought my family this time. As soon I entered the lobby, I was greeted again with the friendliest staff, that remembers who I am! The room was very clean, and the breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold selections. Staff even went table to table asking if anyone needed anything. You just can't go wrong. My family also enjoyed the clean pool. They are under relatively new management and they are doing an amazing job. I'll be back for sure."
"The Hotel would be nice
But they are doing major construction ( adding another wing)
We wasn’t informed about this until we got to property
And it was a one note by the desk excusing the dust
You could not get away from the construction dust
It seeps into the rooms
My eyes were swollen from it
Our feet were black with dust
Our clothes and bodies felt gritty
The parking was terrible
A few spots ( you had to park on the grass)
Again wasn’t informed of this
The spots were taken by construction work being done"
