Our room was on the back of the building so considering how central the hotel was, it was very quiet. Loads of local coffee shops around for breakfast too

The hotel is depressing, the reception area and room. Dreadful lighting, basic accommodation, kettle working. Tv remote filthy, noisy aircon. Only good point was fresh/clean bathroom

It is not accessible. The vent doesn’t work in the bathrooms, the windows don’t open and the AC doesn’t work. The staff tried to makeup for it by providing a portable fan but it only circulates the stale air in the room.

Lovely large room with huge bed. Big clean bathroom. Staff very helpful. Interesting property with lots of historic architecture. Very centrally located to walk to plenty of places. Bedroom situated on a side road and did not notice any noise. Lovely stay.

I loved the surprise we had when we entered the property. A potential con would be perhaps to provide complimentary bottled mineral water. The water provided in the room cost £2.00 per bottle whereas in other hotels it is the norm to provide mineral water at no cost.

Lovely old building with quirky rooms . Fast and friendly checkin . Slow breakfast service. No bar for residents closed early . The restaurant and bar let it down ! No atmosphere and looked like staff didn't want to be there . Empty and lacking enthusiasm

Lovely, clean and spacious room. Perfect balance of period features and contemporary styling. Very well located for parking, railway, tram, dining, shopping. Couldn't have asked for more.

Nice hotel not far from piccadilly station and with parking round the corner from the hotel for a fee. Room was nice and clean it was just noisy as we were right in the centre lots of sirens late at night. Breakfast was nice lots of options. My son had a put up bed which was fine for him. No fridge in the room but otherwise good. Would probably stay in a slightly nicer area in future.

I really like the decor of this hotel. I thought the room was lovely and spacious and even had an iron and ironing board for me to use on my suit without needing to ask at reception. Great shower with both overhead and handheld option. Biggest bed I’ve ever stayed in! Staff were very friendly and accommodating

Nice room. Very clean but let down by lack of staff. Had to leave the restaurant after 50 ins without breakfast arriving and clear that the hotel is not staffed appropriately.

The hotel was in an average state of repair. My biggest complaint was that the cleaner set up outside my room before 8:30am which was noisy and negatively impacted the stay. I did mention this to reception on check out but they seemed to show very little interest stating that the room was next to where the cleaner sets up and that it can be noisy but they were sorry. It was frustrating that the hotel knows about the issue but chooses not to make amendments to their practices.

Overall a good value hotel
Hotel itself was fine, and seemed clean. Onlt 1 small lift is a downside but didn’t cause a major problem. Air conditioning in the property is broken is a lot of the rooms, and couldn’t move me to a room with AC. Eventually after a second call to the front desk they offered to bring me a portable air cooling unit, which is better than nothing and appreciated. As usual with hotels these days they’ve sealed the windows shut, so no fresh air and exposed pipes make the room hot.

Bed left me in pain
Bed was so uncomfortable it left me with serious muscle strain the next morning. Low to ground with no support. Worse than sleeping on cheap fold out bed. Restaurant service was poor. Waiter never returned with answer to question and had to hunt him down to eventually get check. Was not honest about optional nature of service charge. As a plus, very close to train station.
