Really enjoyed my stay here. Would come again. Great free mini bar! Nice, helpful reception staff. Better / brighter lighting option in room and somewhere easier and more convenient to plug in the kettle would be good.

Room was very comfortable. Air conditioner was not cooling enough. Beds were very comfortable too. Very centric to a lot of great dining places.

Comfortable stay
Our family of four stayed just one night in this hotel before continuing our holiday, travelling through Germany. We found it very comfortable sharing a room together and enjoyed a lovely breakfast with great choices. We all enjoyed a swim in the pool before continuing our journey. Great service and friendly staff.

The bartender was gracious and amazing! The desk staff was friendly. However, the rooms were hot, the bed was hard and our linens were not changed out (even though we left a green "please clean" card), and the room was not cleaned. Don't recommend.

Nice hotel near major attraction. Just about 8 - 10 mins walk from Mainz train station. Room was clean, but the corridor have some sort of smell, but nothing major. Breakfast selection is good. Lift was a bit slow.

We’d stay here again
We really liked the location of this hotel because it put us super close to the Altstadt. The rooms were well kept and comfortable. Breakfast was a little higher than average but worth the money. The front desk gave Origami packs to our kids.

Great location and friendly service
The hotel is in a great location, a few minutes’ walk from the train station and 15 minutes to the city centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful and tolerated my rusty German (they offered to switch to English but I like to practice). Fitness centre is basic and the room decor is a bit worn but everything works. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Very happy with my stay at Novotel. Staff was friendly and the place was great. Clean and comfortable room. Complementary water in the room. The pool was very shallow though and the room where the pool was, was quite cold. But overall nice.

The hotel is pretty run down from the last time we stayed there, which is only a few years back. The pool was also closed for refurbishment. So we were a little dissapointed.

A disappointing stay
The sauna in the Wellness Spa was completely out of service for the entirety of our stay (four days!). Visiting the Wellness Spa and using the sauna has always been a key aspect of our stay at the Novotel. After two days of disappointment at the Novotel, we went to an outside spa to enjoy a relaxing sauna. It cost us an additional 36 Euros to get what we should have had at the Novotel.

Located very close to the Mainz Dom. Hotel is on the hill, so you can take the lifts to go down to level 5 and enter city from the back gate. Staff was very nice ! It’s always nice to come to a hotel/restaurant where people are smiling.

We stay here often after flight to Frankfurt. Very clean modern. Updated beds recently. Had a couple minor equipment issues in room, but very nice maintenance man fixed them fast. Breakfast is great. Fitness center in basement of old fortress is kinda cool.
