Maidstone memories...
Loved staying at the historic Stone Court House centrally located in Maidstone, an easy walk to the pedestrian zone where you’ll find pubs and restaurants. The property is run by amicable and outgoing Saban and Belinda, who keep the property tight and tidy. Rooms are spacious (I peeked into a few while being cleaned in the morning), individually decorated and historic, thus it is mandatory to take your shoes off at the main entrance just like you would at home. The common areas are palatial, photogenic, and relaxing, a chill locale to savor a glass of wine and shore-up tomorrow’s itinerary. I wish I had more time here, but it’ll have to wait till my return next year.

This guest checks in the evening, stays an hour in their room, uses the room, walks around the property and then requests a refund, which was declined, without a valid reason apart from it does not feel like a hotel. One of the most strangest guests we have ever had staying with us. They obviously do not understand the concept of Stone Court House and the embedded technology we have installed into this beautiful building, dating back 700 years with keyless entry, CCTV throughout, the latest technology to communicate with staff, self-service check-in and check-out. There is someone here to assist 24hrs a day, 7 days a week and one of the safest places you can stay. Welcome to the modern world of hotels. We offer privacy in luxury settings to all our guests, instead they expected receptionists, waiters and staff walking around, which is not sustainable for modern hotels, we use the latest technology to offer a very private stay with us. Not a guest we would welcome back to Stone Court House.

Lovely place to stay.
Beautiful venue & pleasant, helpful hosts. Shame that you can't get breakfast there, but lots of places close by where you can go. We didn't get a chance to visit locally, so if we go down to this area again we would definitely stay here to visit the many places of interest in the area.

Everything about the property is excellent out of luxury. I wish i had more time cos i only stayed for a night but definitely coming back for more. Its very beautiful and homily. I felt like i was in a palace somwhere away. Staffs where like family. I was treated like one. Even other guests ,i met there, all happy with smiles like family. I tell you,if you're in a place like Stoncourt House, you have no choice but relax and feel you're with your family far away in paradise. I was treated specifically with a bottle of champagne and a gift for my birthday 🎂. A 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and 💯recommendation. Beautiful place for families, lovers,parties, meetings, relaxation and all...name it. Very clean and detailed. Beautiful rooms well decorated. My best place was my luxury bathroom and the lounge. Charming hotel in excellent location in city!
Excellent location in the middle of everything. I was going to a show at Mote Park and it was a simple walk of 15 minutes. It is right in the city area with plenty of shopping and food within a few minutes walk. The hotel looks totally nondescript from the outside, but once inside, it is a lovely redone old mansion kind of feel with a lot of character and flair. Really well-maintained.

My husband and I stayed at the property during the last bank holiday in may 2023. The outside of the property belies what you find inside. It was like stepping back in time, for people who like visiting historical buildings like us it was a fabulous place to stay. We stayed in the Judge Huddlestone room beautifully restored with a 4 poster bed. The only downside is that the property is on a busy road, so if you are not used to traffic the noise may bother you. However if you shut the bathroom door in our room you hardly hear the traffic and if you are from a city like London you will probably not notice it. The communal rooms are great, you are left to your own devices which is nice. We met our host on day 2 and he very generously gave us some bubbles. We highly recommend this property and will be back.
