Top Magelang Hotel Reviews
Garrya Bianti Yogyakarta
"Amazing room & amenities. Great property to just relax and forget about the world for a little while. The calls to prayer can be startling at times"
Plataran Heritage Borobudur Hotel
"Plataran Heritage Borobudur is a beautiful and elegant property that combines classic charm with warm Indonesian hospitality. The architecture, stylish lobby, and refined interiors create a sophisticated atmosphere with a timeless, almost French-inspired feel. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink, and throughout our stay the staff were exceptionally friendly, smiling, and accommodating. Their genuine hospitality was one of the highlights of our visit. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with fresh fruit waiting for us on the table and a small balcony overlooking palm trees and the surrounding mountains. The complimentary afternoon tea was a lovely touch, offering a generous selection of food and beverages. The hotel also provides a complimentary shuttle to Borobudur Temple, making it very convenient to visit this iconic landmark. We enjoyed dining at Stupa Restaurant, where the food was good, the service excellent, and the staff professional and courteous. While there were a few housekeeping details that did not fully meet our expectations for a five-star property, we greatly appreciated how professionally and sincerely the management team handled our feedback. Their commitment to guest satisfaction left a positive impression on us. Overall, Plataran Heritage Borobudur is a wonderful hotel with beautiful surroundings, elegant accommodations, thoughtful amenities, and outstanding service. We would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the Borobudur area."
Villa Borobudur Resort
"I stayed at the villa with wife and 3 children. The bedroom space is just nice for us. The view is excellent!!! We had a swimming pool to ourselves, we sat under the sky to view the stars, see sunset and sunrise. The service is really good & breakfast though simple but is enough and made amazing with the great view and cooling climate. We ordered dinner into the room, the price is reasonable and food quality is good. Overall, a very good experience!!"
Plataran Borobudur Resort & Spa
"Where do I begin? My stay at this hotel was magnificent. The pictures do not do this hotel justice, our expectations were beyond exceeded. Iโll begin with the hotel grounds, a true nature paradise. The staff works tirelessly to keep the grounds immaculately clean. The views of the temples and surrounding mountains are beautiful. There is a nice area for children and such cute animals that are well taken care of. Our modern grand spa villa was stunning! We swam in our warm pool, enjoyed the views, and wish we could stay longer. Cleanliness was 10/10. House-keeping and butler service was impressive. The service everywhere was wonderful. The staff at the morning breakfast and afternoon tea were wonderful. All smiles and greetings even from the chefs! They will go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. The restaurants were delicious. The staff at the front desk was professional and very helpful at addressing our needs 24 hours a day. Thank you!! The afternoon tea was a delight. The music was very soothing, the treats and tea was delicious. The spa was phenomenal. Best massages my husband and I have ever had. Book massages here, you will not regret it! The gym is well-equipped and very clean. A special shout out to Sandy, Divian, the lady with braces working in the restaurant, and the female receptionist, thank you immensely for your service! This hotel has everything and more. Highly recommend. We will return but next time for a longer stay!!"
Atria Hotel Magelang
"I stayed at Atria one week straight, two times in June & Juli. At both times I got the same room with Mountain View on the 10th floor. It left amazing to wake up each morning and see not just one, but 3 mountains right outside the window. So peaceful. The room is basic but clean. Bathroom is also very basic, You get everything you need for your stay, but just like other reviewer, I wish Atria provided a hand towel. That seems to be something that is missing from a star hotel. Luckily, I brought my own. Room service was great and consistent. The breakfast though however was not as consistent. Food is mediocre, but thatโs somewhat expected for a hotel in small town. One beef for me; I had a problem with staff who donโt seem to have awareness of wiping clean tables after guests see them. So, I had to point it out one day as I got fed up with it. There were many empty tables and chairs but theyโre all dirty with food crumbs and grease, There many kids at this hotel, so they can be messy, and staff didnโt bother cleaning up. Yikes! So expect to clean it up yourself if you want a clean table. Cleaning tables after each guest used it shoukd be automatic for staff to do. You canโt expect your guests to clean it. Restaurant staff seemed to be afraid of hard work which is ashamed, but not surprised if they canโt advance in their work. The housekeepers though are the real winner. One disappointment was the construction going on at night on the roof, which I quickly complained."
Hotel Wisata
"This old rustic hotel is very inexpensive. The area offers both local heritage and nature. The staff brought a solid complimentary breakfast with tea to my executive room-with-a-view every morning. There was no hot water but I think I was only paying $9 or $10 U.S. a night. There is definitely a lot of rich local culture in and around the Wisata Hotel! There are plenty of places to walk in either direction, including restaurants, convenience stores, coffee, local style warungs, mosques, a reflexology spa, semi-deserted sidestreet alleys, an art museum, a Starbucks, and a modern mall in either direction. I appreciated the large pine tree-covered hill across the street. And there are monkeys, many of them! For the very cheap price, this hotel was worth it for me. I was able to make easy day trips to the Borobudur Buddhist Temple and other ancient sites. I would recommend it."
ARTOTEL Leguna Magelang
"The staff were all very friendly and helpful, room is clean. And breakfast was so tasty."
Hotel Le Temple
"Extraordinary setting, service and warm welcome. Founders remain deeply engaged and committed."
