Although it is dog friendly, if you have a dog you cannot use the hotel facilities. Your dog is only allowed in reception and your room. There is no where you can use the dining facilities or have breakfast if you have a dog with you. There is no where near the hotel that you can eat or purchase food and drinks. There are no coffee or tea making facilities in the room.

Hello Stephen, We are sorry that you were not able to enjoy your stay with your dog, as you say the dog is only allowed in the rooms and at the entrance of the hotel. During the months of good weather they are also allowed on the terrace but right now the weather does not allow it. On the other hand the village is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and there you can find bars, some shops and restaurants, if you come back here do not hesitate to ask at our reception, we will be happy to inform you.Best regards!

The hotel is well located for travelling down through Spain. The reception and rooms are excellent. The staff are very helpful. We have stayed 3 times as the hotel is dog friendly. However, you can only take your dog to and from the room. We therefore are unable to have an evening meal or breakfast at the hotel. We are not aware of any local places. The hotel is big enough and has enough outside space where they could have a pet friendly area to enable people with pets to have breakfast or an evening meal, however, they do not offer this facility.

Thank you very much for your comment. It is true that dogs cannot be in main floor areas such as a restaurant, as other customers may be disturbed. Due to staff logistics, it is difficult to make different areas. But we will try to continue improving so that our customers are comfortable .I hope to return soon!

Highly hotel
From a distance the hotel looked rather motel like from its neon yellow HOTEL sign, but when you arrive, you see it fronted with a beautifully kept garden with lush trees hung with lights and a perfectly manicured lawn The reception and lounge area is equally tastefully, traditionally furnished The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds, quiet and nice views The area is a quiet hamlet and seems safe There is both outdoor and an indoor locked car park Supper was a delightful affair on the lawn, a delicious salad served with a smile and very attentive waiters

Typical out of town hotel.
Hotel was good but not sure it deserves all of the stars it has. Clean and comfortable with free, easy, onsite parking. More staff needed in the bar/restaurant on the Sunday night that we stayed but maybe it was unusually busy.

New, business-style hotel just off the main highway, well outside of Palencia, at the edge of a new suburban development. Very standard 4-star property; comfortable, well-maintained, large room; lots of parking around the hotel; acceptable dining room (no nearby restaurants). Convenient for a stopover.

The location is excellent, just one minute from the highway. The hotel is beautiful both from the outside as from the inside hall. The room was nice and big, including a fridge. The restaurant is nice and the food is good for a very reasonable price. Pity that the staff in the restaurant has no knowledge of other languages (for example French or English)

Our standing. 4* hotel. Excellent food at extremely reasonable prices, eg Three course diner with a bottle of wine,1 litre of mineral water, bread etc included, for two persons, was just €18 each. Buffet breakfast was €9 and well-equipped room rate just €55. Would definitely stay again.

regular overnight stay
On this occasion the hotel was very busy due to coach trips staying overnight It appears to be popular with coaches . We still got a nice room with balcony. Evening meals are very good value and the food is excellent as was the service despite the number of customers.

Could be a gem
Hotel is very handy for travelling south .nice comfortable rooms.down journey very good service. Return journey evening meal was just not good. Not recommended.CHARLIE CHAPLAIN cooking his boot for meal comes to mind. To be fair i should have returned my main meal .Good service on whole Breakfast very good.

On the Road
This is the ideal stop if you are using the car ferry from Santander and driving South towards Madrid. Excellent service and very comfortable.

Spanish Deseret Oasis
Great hotel, just off the motorway and very easy to find. We were driving from Lisbon to France and this was a perfect place to break the journey. After a long, hot drive, the chance to use the nearby pool was very welcome and a great way to unwind. As a group of five, we had two adjoining rooms. Ours was actually a suite of two rooms with a seating area and lobby, very convenient for our injured dog (he had been attacked in Portugal.) The Receptionist was extremely helpful and spoke excellent English, restaurant staff were efficient. The restaurant did not open until 8:30pm (on Spanish time!) but this easily allowed time for a swim and shower before dinner. The menu was not exciting, but the food was cooked well and catered to most tastes. Local wine was delicious! Breakfast was a buffet, with plenty of choice for everyone and included freshly cooked Spanish omelette and excellent coffee and orange juice. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again if driving across Spain!

Good clean down to earth hotel
We have an Apartment in Algarve & go down every year by car because we have a dog. Europa is a great stopover close to motorway, but in a residential area & rural enough to be quiet - and only 2 hours from the Ferry at Santander. We have stayed in the hotel on 6 occasions (to and from Algarve) and find it very convenient and the price is right. Great breakfasts. It is definately comfortable enough for more than a stopover if you are exploring the area.

We found the staff unwilling to compromise with regard to our pets access to the bar area or outside terrace, after travelling for 9 hours. The only place available was in the room, the car park or back in the car. We asked if it was possible to take a drink outside so we could give our dogs some fresh air, and for us to have a well earned drink and we were told no it's not allowed. So our advice to anyone travelling with pets is, don't use this hotel because it is not pet FRIENDLY.

A great place to stop after the Portsmouth ferry.
Very friendly staff and attractive foyer - the prices are very reasonable at the bar too! The room was clean and comfortable, although no tea or coffee in the room. Maybe the fittings are showing signs of wear, but I would certainly return if in the area. Recommended.

Hotel located less than 5 minutes from motorway
The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful when we booked in. We used room service for our meals and the waiter was nice and cheerful when he came to our room.

Excellent hotel. We were traveling with a 11 week old puppy. There was an additional charge of 10 euros per night for the puppy. The hotel security was very friendly and happily opened the main doors when the puppy needed to go out at 2 am and 4 am. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling with or without a pet.

Everything was good except the rooms where too hot and for the second visit the air conditioning in the room was not working. Sadly we won't use this hotel again.

Another great stay
Second time here with dogs. Great access off motorway down to Portugal. Staff overwhelmingly friendly, helpful and hardworking. Secure parking and places to walk dogs. Choice of snack meal at bar or restaurant meal. Good wine.Nothing else in neighbourhood, but all you need for overnight stay. They deserve more customers. We will stay again.
