Muy bien en sentido general,pero deben comunicar los pormenores que toma la dirección del hotel y no comunicarlo al huésped, ejemplo desconectar el aire acondicionado, creando un aire viciado de respiración, por ahorro de energía . Es imperdonable esa acción, clientes que vienen del trópico y pasar calor para descansar. Por lo menos , conectar un ventilador

I liked the location, the staff, the decoration and cleanliness; for me, the room was super small, no place to place the luggage, also the view of the room was not the best, maybe in another room you get a better view. I would come back for sure.

Disappointing that a 4 star hotel does not have tea/coffee facility in the room and there wasn’t a bin in the main room. The photos of the hotel were older and did not reflect how old the hotel was although it was clean. We were very happy with the service however.

Nice hotel with some drawbacks
Weekend stay in Madrid. The hotel is nicely located, the room was relatively large, clean, and with a comfortable bed. The internet works well. The sound isolation is rather poor, noise from other rooms heard clearly in the morning. Did not have breakfast, although the buffet looked generous.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. My room was on the first floor near the restaurant and elevators (not recommended). No view of the city from my room, but it had large window for natural light. It was a small room with two twin beds just as I asked. It was a bit noisy in the hallway for my preference, but the room had all that I needed. The blackout curtains and decent blow dryer were a plus. Taxi was called by hotel and arrived in minutes. Staff were pleasant and helpful, no hassles. Two small bottles of water were offered in room at arrival but not replenished during my weeklong stay. I didn’t ask for more. Location was close to shops, bakery, small grocery store, cafes and the metro! I felt safe walking alone late at night. If one has younger kids the park across the street is lovely. Great overall! Thank you Gran Conde Duque.

Juan Luis was incredibly helpful and friendly. He was very welcoming from the moment we arrived. He checked us in fast. He greeted us each day we were there. Excellent service. The hotel is in a great location and it’s easy to walk everywhere within the city center. Rooms were nice and comfortable.

Convenient home base for a week in Madrid
This was a lovely hotel in a very quiet neighborhood - convenient to all the sights of Madrid, but tucked away on a quiet street. My room was small but very clean with a comfortable bed and linens, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there was renovation underway on my floor, making it very noisy during the day. And there was a problem regulating temperature, so my room was always a bit too warm. That said, it was an amazing value and an ideal location. I plan to rebook there on my next visit.

Nice tourist hotel
This hotel was beautiful! We are on a 18 day bus tour and this has to be the prettiest hotel and most comfortable. My only complaint is there are not enough glasses for drinking and teeth brushing. Also the coffee machine in the buffet is complicated. But other than that it's great. Perfect location too!

It was a very nice hotel, location and cleanliness where just great. Housekeeping just lovely! Just one of the front desk ladies embarrassed me in front of other costumers. She was not showing discretion at all, she asked him me if the guy I was with was gonna sleep with me, knowing the room reservation was made only for one person, he was my best friend husband who very nicely offered himself to give me a city tour. She made things super awkward. Don’t think they comment was necessary.

Great hotel at a good location. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was excellent with good variety. Only minor complaint was the room was a bit warm. The air conditioner didn’t kick out cold air and the thermostat didn’t work as adjustments to it made no difference. That made it a bit difficult to sleep the first few nights until we started opening the window at night, which helped cool the room significantly. Not sure if the AC issue was just our room or if all of them were like that but otherwise, we had no issues.

This is an older hotel and it shows! The main lobby of the hotel is unique but dated. The rooms were adequate (on the smaller side). Our sheets and pillow cases were dirty and stained. However the cleaning staff is wonderful and friendly and took care of the issue right away. The check in staff member (a lady) was extremely rude. We reserved two rooms . One queen sized and one room with two separate beds as we were traveling with two teenagers. We were given one room with a queen sized bed and one room with two twin sized beds that were joined together. On check in, this staff member was very clear in informing us there were no other room options. So We contacted Expedia to ask about the cancellation policy. The hotels check in lady was very upset that Expedia contacted her. She called our room to dispute our concerns rather than try to fix them. I brushed it off thinking this was a culture difference in Spain but we rented two other hotels while in Spain and we had nothing but positive experiences. I would never stay here again. Please look elsewhere- this hotel was not cheap and I think there are similar options in the area with less hassle, better adequate representation of their rooms and probably nicer people.

This hotel should get a higher rating from me. However, the room cleaning and service sector spoils our review of the hotel. On our first night at the hotel (6/25), the temperature in Madrid dropped to the mid-50s F . But there were no blankets provided in the room except a bed sheet. We had to cover with some of bath towers and our clothes for the night. The next day, we spoke to the front desk that we needed to add blankets and other items to our room. The young man at the front desk was polite and promised to inform the service team to have everything ready. However, when we returned to hotel in the evening, no blankets and other items were found . We went to the front desk again. The young man called to the service immediately and said the service would send stuffs to our room in half hour. But after two hours nothing happed. We had to talk to the front desk in third time. In the end, the young man serving at the front desk personally brought what we requested to our room. It was really a bad experience for us during this trip. It seems that the hotel service team completely ignores customer's legitimate requests and refuses to do what they are supposed do.

Very nice hotel, comfortable updated rooms in a charming hotel. Great location, lots of cafes, restaurants and grocery stores near by. Would stay again.
