It was very low on conveniences and very rudimentary. 1 thin towel, cold room, hair dryer with little to no heat, BUT the price was minimal and the staff was kind and gave me a space heater, the price was right, in a neighborhood with everything one needs. No one would confuse it with a five star hotel but worth the cost and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Avoid if possible
The bed, room and furniture were dirty and in bad repair. The room was tiny. The bed filled 90% of it. The staff, whilst friendly, were a bit intrusive in the room, actually walking in on my friend as she was going to bed and I was in the bathroom. We didn't get large towels, only tiny ones and when asked for large ones, we were at first ignored and then told they'd be left in the cupboard. We found some drinking glasses that were caked in grime, and nothing to wash them with. The bed had some drops of red on it, we prayed wasn't blood. The street outside was noisy, which doesn't usually bother us but it seemed the window didn't close properly. The location was pretty good, but I think for the money paid, you could definitely get a better place.

Great location walkable to many restaurants/convenience stores/attractions. Great value for money. Hospitable host and very responsive. We mentioned that the room was cold and even though we did not pay for the $10 for the heater control, the host gave us a portable heater to use for our stay there. Host was responsive in helping us make payment because there was an issue with our initial payment. Room unfortunately smelled of cigarettes.

A lot of noise outside and inside the hotel at night. Just one towel and they don't have hand and face towels in the bathrooms. And don't give you a extra covertor because is cold. Mucho ruido afuera y adentro durante la noche. Solo te dan una toalla. Y no hay toalla en los baños para las manos y cara. Y no te dan un cobertor extra para el frío.

El lugar no es ni parecido a lo que se ofrece. Las cortinas y paredes estaban sucias, las sábanas rotas, la tapa del inodoro suelta, el grifo del lavamanos roto, la regadera del baño rota. Tienen A/C pero por usarlo es un cobro adicional, en la habitación hay un ventilador pequeño, completamente sucio, lleno de polvo. No recomendaría ese lugar en su página.

Don’t stay there
Don’t stay there! This so called hotel is the worst one I’ve ever been in. It’s smelly and sticky. It has cockroaches and other insects in its rooms. The rooms are not clean and you get dirty sheets in bed. The rooms at the basement has no open windows. You get no shampoo and no hairdryer or other things you need when you travel.

Way too expensive for the type of place. We were on a non-smoking room and the smell of cigarette was all over the room. You can hear the noice from the street so we couldnt rest well.

2 students from Spain were joining us in Madrid at the last minute. Accommodations were fine for the convenient and affordable. Clerk told them they could leave their bags for a few hours. Another clerk intervened and said it would cost 10e they declined!

This was the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. First all, the entrance is hard to find and looks abandoned. The inside of this hostel is completely white-washed and depressing looking. I found a disgusting brown stain on my bed sheets. There was only two toilets, one of which was broken, the working toilet was covered in pee/hair as was the floor. The bathroom did not look like its cleaned on a regular basis. They advertise A/C which is a lie... a fan is not A/C.. therefore that's false advertising. Complete waste of money, we slept awful due to the street noise all night and I just felt so unclean.

For the price the hostel was fine for a solo traveller. Only negative was the noise coming from outside the room and outside the building. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend a stay here.

A hostal close to major districts in Madrid
If you look for a very budget stay, this is a place. Walking distance 20 mins to Plaza Major or within 20 mins travel by subway. The building actually located at the corner but built under the street level. So that means some rooms are facing when people passed by on the street. Condition overall was okay but very awkful in the morning for bathroom. WE guess due to rent to different local not only tourists. So that's why a shared bathroom would be see a lot of used bath gel, hairs etc everywhere. WE stayed for 5 nights so quite very enough to say as what we have seen. One thing was that bathroom hot water really extremely hot gave credit. No need to wait too long to run it. Not sure why key have to give back to the receiption when out. Customer paid their room to stay. All belongings inside the room. It is not acceptable to have room key left to reception as there were different shifts for reception desk. When they are different types of people could come in. No matter there were few cameras on hostal different spots. How hostal(hotel) can gurantee no lose of customer's belongings? This is not very thoughtful out of the customer's safety cause. We never heard of a key(they don't have a card to buzz in) to leave at the reception everytime went out. WE have been travelling worldwide. There was another hotel we stayed before in Spain also gave a key never ask to leave at the front desk. One of the receptionist was helpful even we have to use google to translate everytime.
