"The place is located overlooking the lake. It has beautiful sites. The pool was very clean. The breakfast is Continental for those wondering, they had waffles (the ones you make on the spot), a good selection of fruits, danishes, oatmeal, and coffee. The room was very clean and mine had a balcony as well. The only complaint I have is, overnight the fire alarm kept going off. I hope the manager can fix this situation, because it kept going off randomly for all the rooms in the lodge."

"There are several hotels in which to stay at this intersection outside Madisonville, Kentucky, but only one is clean, in good repair, and costs the least by far whereas the others are likely clean and and in good repair, offer a pool and a hotel lobby-style breakfast and COST THREE TIMES AS MUCH. Locally owned, and managed by a very sweet Indian couple, Big Spring Inn is very basic. I found it a very pleasant place to stay.
