Delighted to find this hotel so close to the sea , we had an excellent day swimming and diving here!

Huge room. New hotel. Easy walk to town and beach. Nothing to do with the hotel - you have to reserve a place on the beach.

Lovely quiet place to relax

Beautifully lush, landscaped gardens frame this luxurious designer hotel. Rooms are each set in a generous space and are thoughtfully designed and well appointed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast in a smart, airy dining room looking out over the gardens. Nice pool and bar with Happy Hour. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

We both loved the setting, the surroundings and the proportion of our accommodations. Well designed, spacious bedroom and ensuite with a large and private covered terrace, like an outside living room. Breakfast was served by the owner on our terrace and was both plentiful and delicious. The pool and loungers were ideal for a morning swim or post beach dip. Great accomodation. Friendly staff. Awesome breakfasts. Room cleaning immaculate. Location is fantastic too, close to the coach park, to the main centre and about 10 minutes walk to the beach. My only one criticism is that the hotel amenities state "guest access to outdoor pool" but this is not the case and so Expedia is misleading. There is no access to a pool. Wry helpful staff - good location and good restaurant close by.

We booked Hotel Vecchia Fonte after reading guests ratings, and then had serious worries that we had got it wrong this time. We worried that Palau was a small town but not a quaint old Sardinian town, by a car park, busy port with ferry boats, but all of our worries were unfounded. Palau is easy to get to from Olbia airport, the hotel very easy to find. The town is a fairly basic small town, but there is some interesting typical Sardinian architecture. This property is okay for a last minute one night stay as it is tired and worn out. Our toilet seat was very loose, the shower door didn't fit properly and sleeping on the waterproof undersheet was delightful! We were unable to sit out on our terrace area as the bushes were overgrown and it was crawling with ants. It's overpriced for what you get.

We had a lovely stay at Residence Sophia. We were given a lovely greeting and help with our bags. The cabin was exactly as advertised -clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The grounds were well maintained with very nice landscaping. The two swimming pools were brilliant, warm, clean and not crowded. Résidence Sophia is also in a great location for exploring the island easily via the T10. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Really pleased with the hotel and staff, friendly and accommodating. Good location with shops, restaurants and the beach. There is free parking as well.

NICE ACCOMMODATION FOR 3 WITH THE UPPER MEZZANINE FLOOR NO TEA MAKING FACILITIES A DISAPPOINTMENT. GOOD LOCATION. FOR WALKING TO TOURIST ATTRACTIONS AND RESTAURANTS.
