"The hotel beach side is lovely. I love the Acqua restaurant. The food is excellent especially the breakfast buffet. It is very clean and the staff and servers were exceptional! They all are friendly and helpful. The staff in the executive lounge were also very hospitable. I cannot say the same for Tides. Tides restaurant during our Feb 14 dinner buffet was not good. The food buffet selection was awful. I see multiple empty or almost empty platters. So there’s not much to eat. We always had to wait for the back kitchen to refill the server platters. Lastly, my only complaint was the laundry charges. I had a one time laundry fill the bag for php 3500. Upon checkout the total laundry php 10323. That’s about $120 USD! I submitted this issue and no one has responded to me. It’s been over 2 weeks since we left for US"

"The room was dirty when we checked in.we had to track down housekeeping just so we could put our stuff down.the room smelled of mold,only one key card work so when I went down and try to return to my room I was stuck on the elevator 10 maybe 15 mins untill a person was getting off at my floor the patio and pool closed at 9 so I was to to leave the patio when I was sitting by myself drinking a beer .just not a good time for me "

"I strongly advise against staying at the Sheraton Cebu. What was supposed to be a premium experience turned out to be one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. Here are the reasons, based entirely on actual experience: 1. Completely Unacceptable Soundproofing (Premium Room) I booked one of the highest-tier rooms, just below the Presidential suite, expecting a quiet and comfortable stay. Instead, the room had virtually no soundproofing. I received repeated calls—until 3 AM—complaining about noise, even though the only thing playing was the default hotel introduction video on the TV. For three days, I couldn’t even have a normal conversation inside my own room. This is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one claiming to be luxury. 2. “Luxury Sedan” Pickup Was Misleading and Poorly Managed I reserved a top-tier sedan for airport pickup. What arrived was a Mercedes B-Class—far from a luxury sedan. At the airport, the assigned staff was sitting in a corner, making them extremely difficult to locate. After finally finding them, I had to wait another 10 minutes for the vehicle. 3. Second-Day Transportation Failure On the second day, I scheduled a car for 6:30 PM. I ended up waiting outside for 40 minutes and only got the car at 7:10 PM. It appears the hotel does not operate its own fleet but outsources vehicles. The car I received smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, which is completely unacceptable. "

"Room was so much in disarray and unidentified stains all over the sofa, I had to call and request a room change. They did however change me into a studio from a two bedroom. I am supposed to be getting 2/3 of my pay back, but that has yet to be seen. Every month and weekend there seems to be a festival (loud music) in Mactan Cebu; the bass is so loud it rattles the windows in the condo. I checked out early at 10 pm because this festival on 21 Feb 2026. It was still going at 10:45 pm and slotted to keep going until after 1 am. I’ll never be returning to Mactan Cebu in the near future. Over crowding, long lines, no infrastructure, rat and roach infestation, and the condo at both are in great need of renovations that will never happen. And then the constant bothering of MegaWorld staff trying to pawn these ran down condos off to stupid tourist ignorant to condo real estate. It is gross the amount of branding the MegaWorld has in this town; I’m not going to support anymore billionaires and their schemes; it feels like something is very wrong in this place from when I was here 8 years ago. I will give a two star only because they changed my room."
