Loved everything about this hotel that was converted from a Convent. Views of the city of Lyon from the Hotel are spectacular and the concierge service and amenities or top notch. This is the place to stay if you plan on visiting Lyon.

Gorgeous restored building full of history but all the modern conveniences of a luxury hotel. Very friendly french speaking staff with just enough English for us with my broken French. Breakfast was excellent. Nice bar for drinks and snacks. We did not use the restaurant for dinner so can’t comment. We went into town for those meals. Amazing views of Lyon and easy walk to Basilica and funicular to ride down to the old city. Clean modern subways and above ground trams letting us explore extensively around the sprawling city.Loved the boat ride on the Soane. The hotel was as much an attraction as it was a great place to stay. We stayed 4 nights.

This is a beautiful property that’s quiet and exceptionally maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again although it is a little ways away from the hustle and bustle of the city so if you’re looking for more activity/nightlife you can walk to you may want to choose somewhere on the opposite side of the river.

Magnifique hotel dans un ancien couvent. Tres propre, au gout du jour, avec toutes les commodites en bon etat. Situe juste a cote des theatres romains. Grand stationnement. Je recommande.

There was no facilities or general needs in the room. No shampoo, conditioner, jug to boil water, tea bags, milk. Only one coffee pod supplied per person per day.

We had 4 great days staying here. The hotel was very striking and we enjoyed the spa and pool. The staff were so friendly and helpful and I would like to thank them very much for aknowledging my daughter's recent engagement which was a lovely surprise for her. The only drawback was the steep climb when the funicular wasn't working

Great Hotel
Beautiful hotel and great location. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, and in keeping with the style of the building. Disappointed the spa/ hamam area was closed as they were repainting. Ideal for touring the old town and the city and easy access to the funicular.

The property is very nice from the outside and in the common areas, but the rooms are extremely basic and "cold" in appearance. We were disappointed that we booked this location part for the spa, but the spa was closed the week of our visit.

A beautiful property with an accommodating young staff. But the location is somewhat limiting as it requires a downhill/ uphill walk to the funicular. After a day of sightseeing I had no interest in making the walk again to go to dinner

This hotel blew us away - such a unique building, with a perfect vantage point for viewing the city from above, and walking distance to so many must-see sites including the Basilica and the Lugdunum site / museum. The dinner we had in the hotel restaurant was one of the best we've ever had, and the service was excellent. Would stay here again any day!

I stayed at Fourvière Hôtel for one night and I was very impressed by the hotel’s unique design, location, and service. The hotel is a former convent that has been renovated with modern amenities and artistic touches. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with views of the city or the garden. The hotel is situated on a hill above the old town of Lyon, near the Roman amphitheaters and the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourviere. It is a short walk or funicular ride to the city center, where you can explore the historical and cultural attractions of Lyon. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive to the guests’ needs. I would highly recommend Fourvière Hôtel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in Lyon. It is a perfect blend of history, art, and comfort that will make you feel like you are part of Lyon’s story.

When we selected this hotel for our break in Lyon, we did not expect to have picked probably one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The building itself has been refurbished very sympathetically and the cloisters forming the courtyard dining area were exceptional. The gardens and pool were ideal after a hard days sightseeing. The room was lovely, light and airy with high ceilings and a separate shower and toilet. All this within a 10 min walk of the funicular and 2 mins from the Roman ruins. All in all, we would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone. Thank you for making our trip to Lyon so special.

Lovely place, amazing entrance hall, rooms perfectly arranged, with minimal decor, for good reason given background of hotel. Aircon in rooms great. Couple of issues- pool was over hot, chairs round pool uncomfortable and deckchairs horrendous. And drinks service at bar one evening was very slow.

It was a bit far from the old town. I drove from Paris to Nice and made this my middle stop, I only stayed for a day. However, the hotel was clean, plenty of parking and had a good breakfast

Loved the spa and pool facilities. Loved the idea of reusable glass bottled complimentry wayer but couldn't open the bottle. Neither could reception. I was not offered anew one. Would be nice to know when booking a massage it needs to be done 48 hours in advance. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

Nice hotel. Good location, out of town up the hill but not too far to walk to the funiculars. Didn't eat there at all, €24 each for breakfast seemed ridiculous but there are many other options in the city. Pool and jacuzzi were decent, hammam was out of action. Bed was strangely short, we're not tall but feet were over the end. Shower was good, though often had to wait minutes for hot water. I'd still stay there again if back in Lyon.
