"This is a magical place to stay! The staff were so helpful and attentive and insisted on helping us with our many pieces of luggage and bags. The building is amazing - totally majestic lobby. Sit in it and look at everything from the ceiling to the stained glass windows and the painted walls. You know you're in a special place. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable. Bed was great. Bathroom was clean and up to date with a good shower. No shampoo though so bring your own amenities other than body wash. Easy walk to the funicular down into Lyon as there is really nothing up on the hill. One night we dined at the hotel restaurant and it was outstanding. Very gourmet experience. Didn't have breakfast so I can't comment but the room overlooks the courtyard. Pool is above ground lap pool but weather was too cold to go in. Parking is in their large lot so very convenient. Just a beautiful hospitable experience and would definitely stay here again."
