We had a great stay in this beautiful B&B
Russel & Nicky are very friendly people.
The location is fantastic, next to the river and everything is in walking distance.
We walked an amazing walkingroute, the views over the moors and the ocean are breathtaking.
Russell and Nicky were very friendly and attentive, they provided an enormous breakfast that really sets you up for the day, set in idyllic surroundings it was a delightful stay.
A lovely base for a walking break. Fab coastline to explore alongside river walks too. The hosts were delightful, as was the new puppy! A first class breakfast ensured a great start to each day.
A brilliant weekend with Russel and Nicky at the Lorna Doone Guest House. Lovely breakfasts, comfortable rooms and a treat on departing for our dog. Would definitely return
The owners were really nice people, obliging and friendly and were very happy to let us into our room a couple of hours before the official time.
We will be going back again at some time in the future.

Russel and Nicky made us feel very welcome and at home , the breakfast are amazing and worth a revisit alone !
The room was clean and tidy , the en-suite was spacious and the views from our windows over the river were great . We had bedroom
3 and the river runs directly outside and the sounds and views of the river are very relaxing . We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely quiet peaceful break with lovely walks right on your doorstep.. we will be back for sure
We had a wonderful time. The room was very comfortable, everything was spotless. Breakfasts were excellent - plenty and a lovely variety.
Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble.
Highly recommended.
Nice place overall - clean and well kept. Owners are nice and friendly. The bad part is the sleep situation. For the room we had, there was a very bright security light from the neighbouring property up the hill, and the light shone onto the thin curtains of our room, and when the tree branches moved inbetween it created quite a light show in our room. There was a 2nd security light in the garden right behind which would come on intermittently, it was very bright and lit up the whole room, this happened throughout the night, maybe because of wind. Then the owners also have a dog, which barks very loudly and a bit too often. The dog was quiet at night though, except when the owners went out one night and he barked for 90 minutes solid. So those are the bad bits, we came away feeling a little sleep deprived. But I expect some of the other rooms don't face these issues. The location is good, and breakfast was nice.
It was a private pilgrimage following the passing of my wife of 52 years. We Honeymooned in Lynmouth and spent many happy breaks in the Village in various locations.
Our stay at Lorna Doone House was was absolutely delightful. Our friendly hosts, Russell & Nicky Perry made us very welcome and comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent with an excellent choice from the menu! The guest house is very well located in a delightful spot beside the East Lyn river just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Lynmouth. We we would recommend it highly to others
We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was good sized and clean. The breakfast was very good although we would have preferred more choice outside the cooked breakfast options. Our hosts wee welcoming and polite. It would have been useful to have more details on th eweb-site about the evening meal offer, eg timings, cost and sample menu.
Overall it was a pleasant stay. The only issues we had were: not happy about leaving our car keys in our room in case the car had to be moved. Due to not enough adequate parking spaces. We hired the room to expect it to be private, we opted for no freshen up due to our privacy and yet they still came into our room to leave the breakfast menu.
Breakfast was incorrect even though we opted for choices. We’re told to leave the black pudding on the side if we didn’t like it. As caterers the customer is always right. To have the waitress/wife serving food bare footed was inappropriate too.
