"Amazing place. Saw the big 5 and so much more. "

"Amazing location at river bank. Good rooms and nice restaurant, with very friendly staff. Great stay with hippos and elefants passing within 10 meters during dinner :-)"

"We had a wonderful time in this beautiful lodge. Staff and owner were very accommodating with our late arrival and had dinner ready for us nonetheless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Great place Room was big Bathroom well equipped Great staff Lovely breakfast"

"We had the most incredible experience! Our room was spotless, smelled so fresh, and felt like a true home away from home. A huge thank you to Ronel, who was so welcoming and kindly upgraded us to a Family Suite at no extra cost—she is a fantastic host! Chichi was equally lovely and made us feel so taken care of. The absolute highlight? Coming back from our Kruger Park trip to find that the lodge management had washed our car! We’ve stayed in countless places, but we have never experienced...

"excellent location, freindly staff"

"Das Personal war freundlich und man hat sich sicher gefühlt. Wir hätten uns noch über einen Haartrockner gefreut, dieser wurde aber nicht versprochen. Um günstig und in Nähe zum Malelane Gate zu übernachten zu empfehlen."

"Everyone was just amazing thank you 🙏 "

"Wir haben eine sehr schöne Zeit gehabt. "

"The property was absolutely amazingly. Very clean and well kept, the landscaping and grounds were perfectly manicured. The restaurant served great food and drinks and the staff was friendly and attentive. Rooms were also perfect for what we needed. There was nothing we didn't like about the property or our experience. We only wish we were able to spent more time there."

"Great hotel, friendly staff they couldn't do enough for us, arranged safari for us and pointed us in the direction of restaurants shops and places to stop off and see animals, would definitely recommend "

"This was a fantastic experience. The staff accommodated my parents dietary requirements (vegetarian) as well as their age. The staff, management and owner were attentive and helpful. Rooms were excellent. Bathrooms could be modernised, but that process has commenced. Overall excellent accommodation."

"This place is great, dynamite really. Close enough to Kruger, great and knowledgeable and energetic hosts, know so much about the birds and animals, and lots else, a cool international vibe, and more fun than I've had traveling in a long time"

"Quick check in, nice lobby, welcome drink, helpfull staff. Nice room spacious, nice view from Kruger park and Crocodile river."

"Camp Shawu Tents have a unique location in front of a watering hole that house Hippos, and see a string of animals come to hydrate like elephants, impalas, and giraffes....You can seat on your deck and enjoy the show. Our Safari Guide Sifiso, was AMAZING! He made the trip even more special. The property lacks maintenance ...the pool was not maintained hence looked like a mosquito fest, the umbrellas were all broken hence no shade to sit out on the beautiful deck overlooking the watering hole,...

"Excellent spot, peaceful and quiet. Hippos, elephants and buffalo seen from deck"

"Great value for money, clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Unfortunately we had no hot water so had cold showers."
