The Pride of Lucca!
This is a fabulous B&B, very warm and VERY welcoming. It’s family run and all members of the family are just so very kind and so very generous in their hospitality that I would never even dream of staying anywhere else on any visit to Lucca. It is spotlessly clean, the rooms are comfortable and the shower was great. It has a beautiful garden that must be something really special in the summer, and perfect for an evening apperitivo after a day of walking the city. The breakfast pastries, well, just look at the picture - in a word, delicious!!! It is absolutely everything you need. My wife and I and our 13 year old son just loved it.

What a beautiful place to begin our trip through Italy. Only a 3-5 min walk to central old town and tucked away on a very quiet little street, this place has it all. Parking inside the walls (the place used to be a convent for nuns), an upscale room, so much breakfast we couldn’t eat it all, and sweet proprietors (multiple languages spoken here- we needed English). The gates and doors are keyed so you are free to come and go as you like without checking in and out and the place was spotless. Owners live in the small home on the property next door but were alway around when when needed help. The courtyard and breakfast area is lush with greenery and birds are everywhere. Note that this booking feels like a small inclusive mix between hotel (amenities) and b&b with the a local family. -Great mix! Lucca’s old city is a very short straight walk away- we rented a bike to explore town on the proprietor’s suggestion and loved every min of our time here! I highly recommend this location. Ask them to tell you of the history here too. We will be back here in the future.

This is how it ought to be done!
We have stayed at la Chiusa Delle Monache before and returned because it is such a pleasant and welcoming place - convenient for the old town as well. This visit was during the Coronavirus crisis and we were very, very impresed with the organisation of preventative measures; more, better, yet less obtrusive than anywhere else we stayed. Congratulations La Chiusa, and thank you.

Perfect Stay
Our stay was perfect. Everything was squeaky clean. The room was comfortable and perfect as a one or two day stop on a road trip. There is private parking available and the place is 10 minutes to Lucca old town by foot. Our hosts went above and beyond.

We loved everything about this B + B and the Town of Lucca. We suggest this B + B is a wonderful place to consider for your stay in Lucca just outside of the walled town - an easy 5 minute walk into the old walled town. Constanza is one of the best hosts I have met. She is really committed to the maintenance of her property. Breakfast is amazing in a wonderful setting. Only a 10-minute walk to Lucca, great if coming to Lucca by car.

A small B&B (just 2 rooms) in a beautiful property on a quiet side street. Just 15 minutes walk from the walls around Lucca. Neighbourhood was very nice and place was secure. Parking off the street behind locked gate. The hostess is incredibly charming, very helpful and goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect. There is a lovely garden where you can sit and relax and a fresh and plentiful continental breakfast. Thank you for a great stay!

Best place in Lucca.
Price, location and comfort were all excellent. We were treated like family and felt right at home. Breakfast was the best we have had in Europe. Agnese and Costanza were the perfect hosts and made the perfect coffee. Will definitely come back.

Ein tolles B&B, mit ganz viel Herz geführt
Der Aufenthalt im "La Chiusa delle Monache" war hervorragend. Wir sind sehr herzlich empfangen worden und immer mit tollen Tipps versorgt worden. Die Pension wird familiär geführt und man spürt, dass Mutter und Tochter hier mit sehr viel Herz und Freude arbeiten. Das ganze Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und auch die Zimmer sind prima. Zum Frühstück nur ein Satz: Besser geht es nicht. Wir wurden umsogt und mit herrlichem Gebäck - frisch aus der Konditorei - versorgt. Da zu immer wieder Erklärungen, worum es sich handelt. Die "Reste" des umfangreichen Frühstücks (wegen Corona gab es kein Buffet) durften wir dann noch mitnehmen und so konnten wir uns den Nachmittag noch versüßen. Das war fantastisch! Deer arten sst prima und für die kühleren Abendstunden konnten wir uns in den Wintergarten setzen. Zum Teil bekamen wir zu unserem selbst gemachten Abendessen noch Tischdecke und Teller gereicht - auch keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Das Haus besitzt einen eigenen Parkplatz. Die nnenstadt von Lucca ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Insgesamt können wir dieses B&B uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wir hoffen, dass es weiterhin so toll geführt wird.

Värdinnan mycket omtänksam och stället väldigt välskött. med kort promenad till centrala Lucca. En hotellgranne. var lite störande varpå värdinnan omedelbart ordnade upp det hela. Mycket hjälpsam med information.

La struttura è in classico stilerustico toscano. Molto accogliente e carino. La camera è di buone dimensioni molto ben arredata. Anche il bagno è ok. Nota di merito per l'accoglienza della proprietaria e per la colazione! Veramente fornitissima, di prima qualità e servita nello splendido giardino. Ottima la zona: tranquilla ma allo stesso tempo vicina a al centro e all'autostrada. Grande attenzione anche alle misure anticovid. Unica nota sottotono è il letto e i cuscini. Non comodissimi ma niente di drammatico.

Location molto bella e vicinissima alle mura di Lucca . Giardino immenso che offre tranquillità . Siamo rimasti molto colpiti dalla gentilezza e disponibilità dei proprietari . Preparatissimi per le misure anti covid . Complimenti !!!! Colazione non più a buffet è stata una grande sorpresa . Abbondante e buonissima . Solo per noi ! E se non la finisci , te la porti via per la giornata . Stanza confortevole è pulitissima . Quando torneremo a Lucca sapremo dove soggiornare . Bravi !!!!

B&b che ha il sapore di qualcosa di più.
Struttura ristrutturata a nuovo con cura e gusto. Cortile interno dove poter parcheggiare. Costanza che gestisce tutto con molta professionalità ci ha accolto con gentilezza e ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Per un futuro soggiorno a Lucca non ho dubbi su dove soggiornare, torneremo qui.
