"Great location, close to the Orchard MRT station and surprisingly quiet. The gym was good for staying in shape and the pool quite nice for an afternoon dip to cool off. Overall excellent value. "

"We took a Studio room with a kitchen which was spacious with all amenities provided. Even had a launderette which was handy. We had a high floor the views across Singapore was spectacular. Lots of eateries around for local delights near the hotel Staff are very courteous and helpful. The only negative I would say is that there is no MRT nearby however there are several buses on the doorstep which takes you all over. Overall it was a great 4 night stay would book again on my next trip to Singapore."

"Mandai Resort is lovely. I highly recommend the reservoir view. Everything in the room is perfect—great amenities, high quality bed, spacious and very nicely decorated. The breakfast is very good and different items are offered daily. The snacks in the lobby are a nice touch. The pool is a good size with a beautiful view. The forest walk is also great. I stayed 3 nights and honestly wish I had added another night. I didn’t get the chance to try the Forage restaurant…next time!"

"This was my third stay at Novena and have had several stays at Cantonment and one at Owen House. I really like the brand and the value proposition. When I arrived the air conditioning was making a noise. I can live with a humming, but this was a squeaking. Maintenance came and said it was the motor. I spoke with reception (Azim) and he agreed to move me the next day. The situation was handled well and I was told to just leave my things and they would move everything including items in refrigerator. I will say that the last three rooms I've stayed in at Novena have had problems with the safe. A few months ago upon arriving the safe was locked and battery was dead. Maintenance replaced the battery. But it kept failing. They eventually gave me the key to use instead of a code. Then this visit, the first room (the one with the bad a/c) had a similar problem. Finally, the room I moved into for the remaider of my one month stay had a problem with the safe. Upon arrival it was closed, locked, and didn't work. Both maintenance and Jonothan couldn't open it. Jonothan provided a great work around by bringing me a second safe from reception! One annoyance is that there is only one bottle of body wash provided. So, this has to be taken continuously from sink to shower, or in my case, I just bought soap for the sink. This is quite ridiculous. Provide a small bottle for the bathroom sink - especially when sink is usualy not located in the physical bathroom, but just outside. "

"The hotel is a basic budget hotel so rooms are small. The pictures on the website are correct but taken well so the rooms look bigger. Nether the less we made it work as they are clean and refreshed each day. Bathroom is a wet room but at the is price it’s great to have your own and it does dry quickly. The staff are really lovely. Located near a mall (6 min walk) with some good restaurants and next door to a food market. Bus stop right outside and directly opposite which is extremely convenient for travel into the city / waterfront. "
