We stayed in first class hotels all over the country except for in the North because we have our own place. we can not say enough about Ashford Castle and the staff. "Clean and quiet lodge great for anyone looking for a peaceful stay. A 10 minute walk into the town and a 20 minute bus ride to Connemara National Park which was absolutely stunning. The breakfast was quite good as well for a buffet style arrangement, able to have a full Irish if you so please as well as fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, and oatmeal. The staff were very accommodating as there were huge delays with the rails and a missed train the day we arrived and we didn't get in until after 8 pm with no problems."
