It’s a three star hotel and we knew it. This is our second time staying there and didn’t have issues before but this time, it wasn’t a good check in.
We had a late arrival and after driving five hours, with our 1 year old, we received a room with the HVAC system not working properly, the thermostat ripped off the wall and the bath tub had a massive leak (not a drip, pretty much running).
When we called the front desk, the responses was “make sure to turn the shower handle off all the way” 😐 and kept telling us to adjust the heat with the thermostat on the wall, even after explaining the obvious with no thermostat and already tried to turn off the water. Clearly We had to switch rooms, but it was clear across the building down the hallway. Barely a sorry and nothing was offered for the huge inconvenience. The room was on the highway side, so all we heard from freeway traffic during our stay.
Otherwise the hotel is fine. The new room was exactly what we expected from the last time we stayed there.
Honestly, expected to have better, smoother response when we had a major issue with the room.
