Located in central Luxembourg, this 5* hotel was the perfect luxury base for a weekend visit. From the outside the hotel looks dated, but after checking in, you can enjoy newly refurbished facilities. The rooms were very large and had plush furnishings. The only down side at the hotel was that the spa/pool/gym facilities have not been brought up to scratch, they did feel dated and did not match the rest of the hotels facilities. A fantastic hotel, charming old world style but with a modern twist. The staff are extremely friendly, and put themselves out to help you. The food is superb and cannot be faulted. There are two dining options in the evening (including the restaurant with 3 Michelin Stars - at the expected high price). The Melia Luxembourg is new and squeaky clean and a good choice if you want to stay at a more high-end hotel and prefer to be outside the hustle and bustle of the touristic town center. My room, the "Melia Guestroom", had a view of the old city accross the gorge, was quite spacious and had a wonderful bed and a nice bathroom (and free nespresso). Our stay at Sofitel Luxembourg Europe was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The check-in was warm and professional, and we were delighted to be allowed to check in much earlier than expected, which made a huge difference after our journey. On our first evening, we returned to a lovely turndown service, a thoughtful touch that made the stay feel extra special. The hotel is exceptionally clean, has easy access to the tram, and every member of staff was genuinely friendly and helpful....

Lovely comfortable and spacious Alpine cabins with 2nd bedroom and bathroom on mezzanine level, situated in beautiful foothills of the Vosges massif surrounded by pine forest. Really good and reasonably priced restaurant as well - lovely sitting on the terrace on a warm summer evening - thank you for a fantastic stay!
