"The Prescott House was a nice change from a typical chain hotel. We had a lovely queen room with an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom had bath products and a hair dryer. The shower was very small. I expect a large person would have trouble showering in it.
The room had a fireplace and wood which could be burned for a fee. There was also a new window air conditioner. We did not use it as we had ceiling fan as well as a small oscillating fan.
Coffee was available 24 hours on the first floor. ...
"BRestaurant didn’t seem to be open. Room 19 was really dated and tub was taped up with black tape. Room wasn’t ready at 3pm. Towels very thin. Property overall seemed run down. Still would say that for the money, I would stay here again. Location is good."
"The room was clean and comfortable.
The shower was disappointing- weird showerhead was difficult to adjust.
The outlets bedside were inadequate. I always travel with a powerstrip extension cord, just in case.
There were several areas outside where flagstones and cement needed repairing."
"It was really bleh. I was in room 12, i paid extra for the jacuzzi tub and didn't even use it, it didn't look clean. The bathroom has a lower ceiling, if you're 6' and over chances are you dont fit in the shower. The amenities were bad. The carpet in the room should be removed. If anything ask for room 1 to 11. In 12 you are in a renovated garage, you have two rooms over your head and you are located in the center of a parking lot. I would not book again. The check in is all via texts so thats...
"I had a great time here. The room was beautiful. I was surprised how much space you get. I visited in the summer and it has AC if you need it. I like the log cabin feel they have with the wood paneling on the walls. I had a little snafu with the room code at first but the gentleman from the staff that came down was super helpful and friendly and we got that sorted out quickly.
They have a completely virtual check in system which is cool, just be prepared for it unlike me lol. Not very good...
"Hi - enjoyed staying at the Hotel. It was clean and the hotel staff very friendly. Wish there was a microwave in the room, but it was fine without it. The room we had was on the waterside and had a sliding glass door that we could open for fresh air vs. having the air condition running all the time, especially at night. Really enjoyed that!!
Would highly recommend this hotel."
"Was given a room near the elevator and the front desk was super helpful in relocating us to a less busy area of the hotel. Beautiful property with beautiful views (it has an offsite private beach which is worth checking out). The restaurant was decent and was one of the only things open after the Ironman Lake Placid since most restaurants in town close at 9 pm. It is a hike from town uphill to get to the property but its centrally located, I would stay here again."
