"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "I was charged an additional £5.00 for parking! That would be fine in a town but this hotel is in a motorway service station so I am not even sure it would be possible to get there by any other method. This means that I would count this as false advertising. Ramada would be better off just advertising the room at £5.00 more. It certainly left a bad taste with me. They do say that parking is charged somewhere but they hide it well! Reception area was nice. Shower was cold and heating rattle-y but I was at the end of a long corridor so other rooms might be fine. Room had been very well cleaned imo and bed linen was good quality and spotless. Local staff seemed good but run-down infrastucture and head-office stuff has put me off."
