Check in was 4pm but we got into town early. They took my cell number down and called when the room was ready so we could check in early. We went to lunch until they called. It was so kind of them and they suggested it! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. A great size for the price. The front door was too small for the frame so there was a large gap letting cold air in. The heaters kept is warm enough though. Overall a great experience and we will likely stay here again if we come back to long beach overnight.

This was our second stay while checking out possible properties for a relocation. We came back because we had such a great first experience a few weeks ago. Check in is easy, whether it’s during the open office hours or after hours. Staff are super friendly. Parking is easy and the location is an easy walk to a lovely beach and to lots of terrific shops and cafes/restaurants. The only ding on a perfect score is that although the place was immaculate during our first stay, there were two dark, wiry hairs at the base of the shower floor this time and, well, ick factor. I’d return and recommend, as I think this was a fluke.

The support in the middle of the bed was broken so it was basically a giant pit in the middle. Every time you moved it felt like it was going to collapse. The room was clean and nice, but there is no insulation between the walls so you can hear everything in the room next to you.

Room was very clean, although there was a little garbage that got missed in the bathroom (was under the sink, far back) NOT a deal breaker. Only staff I came in contact with was the front desk, nice interaction. I like this place, because they allow dogs!!!! Also, it is very close to the shops (like 2 blocks-walking). Will return to this place next trip. We got the 2 bdrm, family suite!!! AMAZING! Remodeled, new floor, dishwasher, Keurig, fridge. Really enjoyed the 2 bedrooms for 2 kids & 2 adults. Adult room had a side door to a "breeze way" type patio. RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!

I really wanted to love this place as we have stayed at their other frank property, Inn by the Sea, and love it there. First, the office closes at 6. If you need anything beyond that hour you must travel to their other property where the office is open later. In our case, we ran out of towels and Keurig coffee k cups, so we had to drive to the other property for more. They advertise free breakfast and bikes, they don’t have either available. The unit was FREEZING. They had 1 heater for the entire 2 bedroom unit and no extra linens or pillows. The pillows were awful and the beds were even worse. Squeaking every time you moved, I felt like I was sleeping on Sheetrock. The walls in this place are worse than paper thin. We heard everything. Barking dog all hours of the night, fighting and yelling late hours of the night and early hours into the morning. I called the office and asked if someone could please say something to them and was told “there’s a number in the text you got for check in, you can call that number if there’s noise complaints.” She didn’t have a care in the world. We spent almost $400 for 2 nights here and literally the only good thing about it, was the location. I would recommend cleaning your couch and chair in the deluxe 2 bedroom family unit as it was absolutely disgusting with stains and animal fur. There is also a major ant problem in the kitchen area, didn’t appreciate have ants crawling on our prepared food and all over the coffee pot.

Coastal Inn was clean but sparse. The staff were excellent. You can walk to most attractions. We expected a kitchenette but not had a small fridge and microwave. No bowls, plates or can opener. We are large people and the furniture was very small. Husband and I squeezed onto the love seat to watch a movie the first night-the tv and wifi never worked again. Due to monsoon like weather, we had to spend more time in the room. It would have helped to have working tv and music, as well as being able to spread out in the living room. We did not dare sit on the dinette for fear of collapsing. They have clearly updated the room we were in, I just wish they had put a bit more into the furniture. Wish these guys well in their endeavor🍀

Convenient location- walking distance to everything in town! But we paid for 2 rooms and they were all the same prices but one room is bigger with accessibility to our own Netflix/ Prime and the other room ( A7) was way smaller and they did not even have access to additional channels- talked to the receptionist and she said “ oh yeah each room has different features “…. That’s it.

The property is old, they have done some updating but you can tell it was done cheaply. The flooring has a lot of waving to it. The walls are paper thin. We had a very upset baby next door and it felt like the were in the room with us. Even without the baby next door we will probably not go back.

Very thin walls
Love coming to Longbeach. We stayed in a room at Coastal Inn that was very clean however the walls are so thin you literally feel like you're in the same room with your neighbors. We heard their actual conversations, doors closing, etc. So if you want to sleep(even w/noise cancelling earbuds, I could hear the neighbors talk) then don't stay here. Great location and good price though!

Nice place for the price
The suite was clean, comfortable and quite nice for what it costs. Plus, it’s at a great location, with in close walking distance of food, entertainment, and most importantly the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The staff is friendly and they make the whole check in / check out process a breeze.

Great value for the price. Clean and comfortable. The only drawback would be if you have noisy neighbors. The hotel does have quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 9:00 am. We did not have any issues, but you can hear people in adjacent rooms.
