Nothing really unique. It was a typical city centre hotel. Air conditioning and no fresh air or openable windows. The food was too expensive so can't rate it as didn’t try it. The bed was comfortable and the ensuite had both a lovely bath and a walk in shower so the facilities were comfortable. The decor is pretty gloomy with lots of black and grey

Dear Margaret,As we are a city hotel and a high rise building, none of our windows will open due to health and safety as they are floor to ceiling windows. For our decor, the rooms are designed to fit our brand in a unique way. We are sorry to hear that you did not find the rooms to your liking and would like to thank you for your feedback.

I had a really wonderful stay here. Everyone that i spoke to was friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and i had a fab nights sleep - cannot fault this hotel and i will be coming back

Great location bar area and reception. Shame no Guinness in bar - which seemed strange as you must have quite a few Irish stay. Rooms furniture holding safe looked distressed - no complementary bottle of water which was not in keeping with other 4/5 star hotels

Our standard rooms do not come with water, as stated in the club rooms. We do apologies if you did not find this to be a 4* stay, however we can confirm we are.

Nice hotel. Shame about the water view, it was more a view the car park with a slight view of the water. The downstairs bar has lovely atmosphere but it was very busy due to a wedding party. Decor in the downstairs area is beautiful and looks very classy. I was a little disappointed with the upgrade as the bed ended up being a double instead of a king size, which seems odd for an upgraded room.

Easy 20 minute walk to shopping and dining at Royal Albert Dock. Restaurant in hotel is good for dinner. No breakfast available and that would be nice. Hotel bar is quaint and bright with great service. The restaurant is nice but the server was not the greatest. Didn’t understand what a gin and tonic with lime was. Otherwise great place!

we stayed here for one night , the hotel was even nicer than we expected on arrival and the lady on reception thar checked us in and out was so lovely. Room was spacious and clean, modern and all round well presented.

Didn't appreciate the fire alarm going off twice apparently the system is joined to apartments on the top floor which seems according to staff to regularly happen

Nice location, nice friendly people, almost swanky hotel. Rooms on the tired side which shows when it has shown design bravery, with a black bathroom for example. A little noisy on the river front but all acceptable for the location and hospitality.

Brilliant Stay
I had a brilliant stay. The hotel is lovely, the Staff lovelier and best of all it’s dog friendly. Everyone made a fuss of my service dog and it really felt that she was welcome. From the dog bed, bowls and treats for her in the room to a sausage at breakfast especially for her. This was my first stay in a Malmaison hotel, but it definitely won’t be the last. I had both breakfast and dinner in the hotel and both meals were really good quality. Definitely recommended
