"This peaceful, even serene setting, close to the marshes of Darby Creek, the John Heinz National Wildlife preserve, and the Delaware River just south of the Philadelphia International Airport was a surprise of a little oasis. Lovely woodsy canopy of trees and green lawns. If only they could accommodate my *2* dogs (medically certified Support animals, but not ADA-covered Service animals) without the extra $15/night charge, it would be my new ‘budget’ go-to when visiting the area. There are two nearby restaurants, a diner and a Denny’s. And Essington is on the southern end of the Township, proximate to Ridley Park and Prospect Park in Delaware County. I could see winter season travelers preferring an enclosed hotel. But for spring/summer, it is quite lovely. My favorite of 4 different RedRoof locations I’ve visited around the east coast in the last year. Thank you for my recent hospitality experience. I very much enjoyed this stay."

". It wasn’t written on the website that I have to pay a deposit while checking it was inconvenient. The staff had an attitude, and they weren’t friendly. Also the tub was dirty and it was preexisting dirt streaks on the sheets."

"The breakfast menu was fresh and delicious. It was missing potatoes tho, but those waffles!! Hotel was extremely clean and modernized. The only complaint of my whole stay was the fact that the TV (and rest of the pier near the beds) turn off in the middle of the night. I’m a TV sleeper so every time the TV turned off I immediately woke up and struggled to get it back on. Despite that I would absolutely stay again! "
