I know they just put electric door locks in which is nice but they need to be adjusted so the locks work. And if you needed help with anything you had to go in the office and phone, there was never somebody in the office that you could see you had to talk to everybody on the phone"

"Let me start by saying that Alan, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming, and the room itself was very clean. However, the cleaner used on the tile left a very strong smell that irritated my eyes if I stayed in the room too long. I ended up getting a candle to help cut the smell, which did improve things. The motel itself is quite dated. The beds were older but still comfortable, and the rooms only offer single and twin beds. I was glad to have both a fridge and microwave in the room. The bathroom was very small, but again, very clean. The location is convenient, right in downtown Haileybury, just up the street from the beach and waterfront, with the LCBO directly across the street."
