"Booked to stay for one night as going to a funeral. Lovely room with good amenities and drink options. The chocolate on the bed was a lovely touch. All the staff were delightful and so welcoming. Went out of their way to help. One item on the menu wasn’t available due to an upcoming menu change but the were happy to give me something else and make it similar for me. The rooms you could see a bit of damp and needs a new coat of paint but I am told this is happening in October. I will definitely be going back if I’m in the area and will recommend to everyone!"

"Good basic no frills hotel. Rooms and very small but quiet. Annoying that they charge for parking but don't police the car park for diesel vans in electric car spaces and disabled spaces. Out of a generous 8 electric parking bays 5 of them had been used by diesel and petrol vehicles"

"The room was immaculate and everything was working as it should. Staff were really helpful when we had a problem paying for the car park. Staff were really friendly, greeting us and showing an interest in why we were there."

"Lovely big room with everything we needed. We did have a step into the bathroom which customers need to be aware of. Bathroom was super clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We needed to check in early and our bags were kept safely although our room was ready for us soon after our arrival. Breakfast was great value for money. Tea and coffee was served at the table with continental or full English options available. Had a drink outside on the street side terrace in the sunshine before walking to the Curve theatre/city centre which is approximately a ten minute walk away. The bar was open on our return later in the evening and served our party a good variety of drinks including cocktails and tea and coffee. Overall a lovely welcoming experience and would recommend if you’re looking for a city break."
