My wife and I visited The Drayton Crown on a very hot weekend in August. Our stay was subject to Covid-19 rules as would be expected.
The property was clean and well managed. It offers, I understand, only four guest rooms with its main business being as a bar and restaurant.
Despite the Covid restrictions we enjoyed our stay. Using one way walking routes, assembling breakfast ourselves from ingredients provided, etc, were small issues. The one evening meal we had was excellent despite the restaurant only being reopened that day.
One possible word of caution, the bar seems very popular locally. In the evening it was noisy although this stopped soon after 11 PM. No problem for us, but it wasn't a quiet retreat if that's what you're wanting. Doubtless the hot weather was a factor; it may be more laid back on colder evenings!
We would be happy to stay at the Drayton Crown again.
