"If I could give negative stars I would. Cockroaches, no room daily service even when requested, key card needed fixing daily, siren noises throughout night, generally dirty, no microwave, Police on site regularly. NEVER, NEVER STAY HERE!!!!!!"

"This will be last time we stay at any La Quinta Inns. Any motel is much higher quality than this. Everything here is old and outdated. Rooms are dirty, stale smell and black mold on walls. Stained carpets (looks like blood) and mattresses. All lamps are covered with dirt and dust that haven’t been cleaned ever. Broken bathrooms and showers. Zero safety for windows that open all the way without any precaution for children. Stayed at both locations in Lakeland FL and both are terrible! Stay away. "

"Room was clean, staff responsive, it is an older property and needs updating. Room had a Venetian blind but no drape. Sink and bathtub had cracks and peeling on bottom. No closet. Breakfast was lacking. We came down at 910 and there was literally nothing left and we were told it ends at 930."

"Staff was very friendly. Room was bright and decorated nicely, though small as is to be expected at a historic hotel. It was very expensive when we were there, and I don't think worth the price. It appears to be a grand historic hotel, but there's no lobby to appreciate this -- only the dining room. There's no big historic lobby area, just a normal check-in desk. It is really the only place to stay if you want to be in downtown Lakeland, which is nice. We did enjoy walking around the small town. It would be nice if the hotel provided a walking map to the historic buildings or things to see. Free valet parking from a very nice attendant. There's a small veranda at the back for sitting outside."

"It was terrible not having a coffee pot in the room. Who wants to get dressed just to have your first cup of coffee in the morning? Also we go on vacation to sleep in and if you do you will not get any breakfast because they close breakfast at 9:00am!!! That is unheard of. The choices for breakfast was very limited and my husband said it was not good . Also the blinds are nice but everyone knows a good quality nights sleep includes a cold dark room. Light comes through the blinds. I have never been in a hotel room without a room darkening curtain. It was very pricey and very poor quality for amenities. We will not stay at this chain again."

"The cleaning, horrible, cockroaches, hairs on the bed, a musty and dirty smell, very unpleasant, the floor very dirty, the corridors and elevator very dirty, the towels smelled clean but with old churre stains that the washing machine did not remove, we paid for three people and they only put 2 dirty towels, the treatment of the reception staff was excellent, we paid almost 300 dollars for just one night, I do not recommend it or visit it again even if they give it for free, it is a lack of respect to charge so much money for such dirty."
