Holiday Inn Express San Jose Costa Rica Airport by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"It was perfect for our last day needs. Beds were very comfortable, pool was clean & had the cutest birds making nests so cute for the bird watcher like myself. Easy & simple to get to the airport with their shuttle service. "
"It was a nice hotel. I liked the fact that it has a free shuttle to the airport. It runs every 15 minutes. The restaurant/bar serves dinner. The food was good. It seemed a bit understaffed as a large number of people all showed up at 6pm when it opened. The 2 women in the restaurant worked very hard to take care of everyone”s food and drink orders. It seemed like they could have used some help. Overall it was good. One thing to note is that this hotel is near the end of the airport runway so you can definitely hear the planes. Fortunately there didn’t seem to be many flights late at night or early in the morning. I am a light sleeper and was not bothered by noise. "
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, San Jose Aeropuerto, Costa Rica
2/10 Terrible
"I do not recommend this hotel. We were upgraded to a suite for a one night stay only to realize the room was up a flight of 20 stairs or so , no elevator to handle our luggages, a very weird room layout. The bed was wedged between walls with barely a few inches on either side to get up from. It was a a very soft double bed. Worse sleep or rather no sleep ever. We had to take the first airport shuttle departure at 5:15 am so at least we did not have to stay any longer. The room needs to be redesigned and the shower repaired. The couch on the “suite” had a huge stain … disgusting!"
