"Beautiful spot on the cliff over the Indian Ocean on the south coast of Mauritius. About 40 minutes from the airport, including the track through the sugar cane plantation.
Quiet except for the continuous roaring of the sea and the waterfall.
Wonderful staff, friendly and courteous. In particular the chief chef who made fascinating meals in local style.

"The staff were tremendous and so caring and helpful. A husband and wife caretake the place and you would have thought they owned the place based on how careful and considerate they were. I was reminded of staying at my grandma's. Everything was so clean! We had booked one day because our other accommodation was far away from the airport given the time we came in. "The location of Le Bovallon was perfect for us. It was a short walk to Mahebourg and far enough from the town to be nice and quiet. There are a couple of good restaurants and a supermarket within a 5-minute walk, and the beaches of Pointe d'Esny and Blue Bay (best snorkelling on the island) are a 5-10 drive away. Our apartment was clean and quiet and had everything we needed. Breakfast was interesting and nice, consisting of drinks and toast you helped yourself to, and a surprise breakfast of the day that was prepared fresh (waffles, pancakes, omelettes, fruit salads, etc). Le Bovallon was excellent value, and the host and staff were friendly and went beyond what was expected, even allowing us to have a shower after we had checked out due to our late flight. We loved it, thanks everyone x"
