We spent a glorious 3 weeks at Hacienda Puerto del Cielo over Christmas and New Year 2014-15, with its stunning scenery, photographs cannot do it justice, the panoramic view across the National Park to the distant Masaya volcano are so beautiful one can understand why the hotel has been named, “Gateway to Heaven”.
Despite the beauty of HPDC, we found the most important and consistently enjoyable aspect of our stay was the staff. The front of house and kitchen staff were delightful, great...

My wife and I stayed here for three nights as part of our honeymoon in Nicaragua. Villa Adela was absolutely wonderful, and I could not recommend it highly enough.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the location is perfect.
We really enjoyed all of the activities we arranged through Adela (hiking in Mombacho, kayaking around the Isletas and seeing Masaya Volcano), but also loved lying by the small pool in the afternoons. Fabio/ Guadalupe were both so helpful...

The room was spacious and the balcony was also really nice although we didn’t have any furniture on it, but was a nice view. The gardens are lovely and the secure parking is great. The staff were all really lovely too!

There is basically no night-life in or anywhere near this hotel so don't book if that is what you're after, and there isn't really anything in the way of entertainment for kids. However, if you're looking for ultra relaxing and affordable luxury, 5 star service, and near Michelin starred quality food then book a deluxe room here and you'll be delighted! I have stayed in many great hotels around the world as a business traveller and considering this is in Managua this is right up there in my top...

When you arrive in the quiet street there is nothing to suggest you have come to somewhere which is going to be such a comfortable place to stay. If you haven’t told your partner where you are staying they’ll probably be thinking ‘why are we on this quiet back street’. But some places on tripadvisor have excellent reviews for one simple reason, they deserve them. And this is one such place. I could go on at length about the excellent staff, all of them, gardeners included, or the well thought...

This is a fantastic place located on a quiet island just outside Granada. The island is small and the hotel well-run. No air conditioning but it really wasn't needed with the room built with natural ventilation that worked well. The position away from the hustle and bustle that is Granada was perfect! It turned out to be the most enjoyable hotel I stayed in during my Nicaraguan trip. The staff attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile also made if for me.
