Great experience in traditional machiya house

Good experience to stay in traditional Japanese house.clean and kitchen well equipped. Washing machine was convenient. Due to it being an older building, insulation isn’t very good and gets very cold in the winter and need heaters in all rooms. Location is not great as it is walking distance to most places. Bus stop 7 minute walk. Could have provided more furniture such as chairs. Overall nice experience besides being on the cold side.

The beds were so comfortable here, which was icing on the cake because the home itself was the real highlight. The air conditioning was strong enough to keep us comfortable on hot hot nights, and the coffee, tea, and kitchen setup suited our family well!

My family & I truly enjoyed the experience of staying in a Japanese home vs a hotel room. There were 4 of us and the 2 bedroom comfortably fit us and there was another room downstairs where the family could hang out and that room could have fit another 2 occupants. If there is a negative, the TV was rather small and was not a SMART TV so you will be stuck just watching Japanese channels. The place is walkable to the Nishiki Market area as well as Shiro shopping district. Please note that you will have to check in at a separate location near Kyoto railway station. Your luggage can be delivered to this residence after the 3.00pm check in time while you spend the afternoon touring the city.

가족여행으로 예약했는데 5인 가족이 묵기에 너무나도 편안했습니다. 별도의 침실이 3군데나 있고, 함께 모일수 있는 거실에 작은 정원과 주방, 욕실까지 모두 너무 아름답고 좋았습니다. 다만 한가지 교통편이 좀 불편하여, 버스나 지하철 정류장까지 걸어서 약 10분정도 거리를 오가야 하는 불편함이 있습니다. 이점만 빼고는 모두 완벽합니다.

Awesome authentic Japanese house. Really enjoyed our stay. Close to local bars and restaurants and the subway to Kyoto main station is only a 6 minute walk away. Perfect for 2 couples or 4 people even though it can definitely house more, limited by the single shower.

大人数でゆったり過ごせます

数回、人数変更などで直接ホテルに連絡させてもらいましたが、とても優しく対応していただきました。 ホテルについては、町家ということもあり、若干寒い感じはありましたが、とても快適にリノベーションしてあり、過ごしやすかったです。 室内は、和風を生かしつつ、洋の部分も取り入れてあって、「町家ホテル」を楽しむことができました。 一つ残念だったのは、お風呂が石づくりだったので、お湯がすぐに冷めてしまい、肌触りも冷たかったです・・・。
