Very nice location
If you plan on walking around Arashiyama this is a good place to stay. Location is excellent to see the back streets. The staff are very polite. No complaints about this hotel. Japanese bath house is available if you are interested in that, They provide bathrobes and Kimonos. Room is small but clean. I am very pleased with my choice to stay here.

Good but a bit expensive
We booked this hotel because of its close proximity to the bamboo forest and our desire to see it at dawn. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful but it is relatively expensive for the experience. We had a western style room and it was the largest of any we’ve had in Japan. Our view outside was quite lovely. The town is mostly for day trippers from Kyoto. As a result the village shuts down around 6:30. We had great difficulty finding a place to eat dinner. A highlight, however, was experiencing the kimono forest at night. It was quite magical.

Gem at Arashiyama
Its a gem right at Arashiyama, at night you get to see the beautiful lights from the bridge and at day is so close by the main places you need to visit/eat at Arashiyama. Room are not so spacious, and facilities are not of a high rate hotel, think of it as a modern higher class inn/ryokans, must try the breakfast, tofu and light Kaiseki cuisine. Free parking a bonus

Great retreat in an attractive spot
I wanted a couple of days away from the big city hustle and bustle, and this hotel provided a very tranquil "ryokan style" retreat, but very close to Arashiyama's scenic spots. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Nice stay in Arashiyama
I've previously stated near Kyoto Station on recent visits to Kyoto but always liked the area around Arashiyama so I decided to stay there this time. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel as some of the other reviews weren't too good. It's not the most convenient location to either rail stations but if you like strolling through the bamboo forest, along the river or on the temple grounds it can't be beat, especially at the price. Staff was helpful getting me a taxi on a rainy day and spoke enough English for my needs. The room was large by Japan standards, more like a western style motel. I would definitely return.

This is NOT a ryokan.
Unlike the classification on the Hotels.com website, the Razan is NOT a ryokan, which was the sole reason for booking. It is a regular, albeit Japanese, version of a standard motel/hotel. It is clean and has a standard, but not exceptional bath house. I appeared to be the only non-Japanese guest in the hotel during my two days there. There was much, good natured, amusement from the waitresses in the dining room for breakfast at my ignorance of the foods available, also some well-meaning, but incomprehensible instructions/offers of help. Contrary to the claim on the website, wifi is not available in the room and only within a 5 metre radius of the centre of the lobby.

가성비 아라시야마 료칸
아라시야마 바로 앞 감성을 느낄 수 있습니다. 외출 한 사이에 침구류를 깔아줘서 좋았지만 침구류에 먼지가 너무 많아서 힘들었습니다. 방에서 예쁜 마당이 보이고 둘이 쓰기에 방이 너무 넓어서 좋았습니다. 아라시야마 특성상 6시 지나면 가게들이 다 문을 닫아서 갈 곳이 없는 점은 아쉬웠습니다.

周辺は観光スポットで非常に便利なところにあります。質素なお宿ですが、必要なところに必要なサービスがありとても快適でした。館内の自動販売機の飲み物が安くてびっくり！とても良心的なお宿です。

不錯的住宿
離JR地鐵站比較遠(約15分鐘)，建議從嵐山電鐵下車(約8分鐘)，不然夏天走這段路會很辛苦；氛圍不錯的老飯店，服務很好，就是設備看起來確實老舊了一些，週遭景色很好。

吉兆と翠嵐の間にある風情のあるホテル
トロッコ列車の後、保津峡船下りに参加し、その降り場からすぐの所、つまり川に沿って入口がありますのでとても便利です。夜になるととても静かでした。早朝に竹林の小径を一人占めできます。野宮神社からの道と翠嵐の裏から公園を通っていけますよ。

申し分ないホテル
申し分ないホテルでした。チェックイン後にお部屋までアテンダントしてくださった方は、本当に気持ち良い爽やかな笑顔の方でアテンダントくださいました。 賑やかな方々が居ない時期でもありましたが、穏やかに過ごせました。 お食事も、お味はお上品で、程好い量で、お米が本当に美味しく、お付けものと相性も良すぎて食べ過ぎてしまいました。 窓からは隣の竹林が見えて葉音が気持ち良かったです。 次回は紅葉の季節に両親を連れてうかがいます。

宿自体はよかったのですが、大風呂に入ったときに中国人の観光客の方が上下の着衣（水着のようなもの）で入浴していました。 お風呂の入り口に注意書きはあったのですが見ていないか無視していたようです。 チェックインの際に説明する等があってもよいかもしれません。

比較的リーズナブルに泊まれる嵐山の旅館
朝夕食付きのプランで一泊しました．立地は，ホテルから眺めることはできませんが渡月橋や桂川がすぐ隣にあり良いと思います．世界遺産の天龍寺や嵐山の竹林，嵐山駅も近いです． 施設は，お風呂は露天無しの大浴場のみですが（部屋にはユニットバスあります），可もなく不可もなく快適に過ごせると思います．嵐山駅付近に24時間営業のコンビニもあるので，夜道は暗いですが買いに行くこともできます． WiFiは嵐山のフリーWiFiがホテルまで届いているので，それを使えば使えます． また，料理は朝食・夕食ともにおいしかったです．朝食はいくつかの小鉢が入った一段重箱と湯豆腐という感じでした．ご飯，おかゆ，漬物，みそ汁はお替り自由です．夕食は懐石料理です．旅館なのでチェックイン時に朝食・夕食共に時間を指定しないといけないので，そこだけ注意です．朝食は7時～8時半，夕食は17時半～19時半で30分毎に回を指定できます． レストランの女将さん方が気さくで楽しく食事できました．嵐山の旅館にしては，朝夕プランでも比較的リーズナブルに泊まれるので良いのではないでしょうか．
