The staff were nice and fast with the check in and out(around 1-2 mins for each). They provide lots of towels and amenities by the door as well. Rooms were very clean and had everything that I needed! I would recommend if you come to Kyoto and don't want to stay in the busy Main Street. It's nice and quiet here with a mini stop 20 feet from the hotel. Also there is a really good restaurant called "Ginjo Ramen Kubota" that has amazing tsukemen. Overall great place! Loved walking down the streets from Main Street to this hotel.

This was like a boutique hotel! Very clean and comfortable. Room size was bigger than any of the other places we stayed! There is not daily cleaning but if you need anything, staff is available.

Very clean and presentable rooms, with helpful reception staff, a few of which speak English. Rooms are a little cramped but thats hardly uncommon in Japan. Surrounding neighbourhood safe and tidy. Overall highly recommended.

Slightly strange absent staff set up and obvs no breakfast or bar or shared spaces etc BUT very very central (seemed EVERYWHERE was a short bus ride away!!). What interaction we did have with the staff (5 mins at check in) was simple, efficient and polite. The inexpensive washer/dryer laundry was a godsend. The room was super neat tidy and clean. It was an excellent base shilst in Kyoto! Cheers !

The location is not too far from public transportation and the rooms are okay. The bathtub in the room was clogged and dirty when we got there and the shower didn’t work properly. The staff at the front desk weren’t helpful and were focused on their phones and ignored guests. The area itself felt unsafe compared to everywhere else I’ve been in Japan. The workers at the local convenience store were rude and laughed at foreigners just buying food and it felt like no one in this area wanted tourists. Hopefully it changes in the future.
