Great location to be in overall. The staff here were able to help get a bag back to me after I had left it in a taxi. I recommend anyone to stay here as the stay was also pleasant

Had a great stay here. Room was clean and spacious too compare to other budget friendly hotels. Great location! Close to bus stations and like a 10min walk from one of the train stations. There’s also a grocery to store almost right next to it which is a big plus! Highly recommended.

Free coffee, tea and water downstairs in the lobby. They also provide a variety of necessities, such as toothbrush and toothpaste, hair ties, brushes, pajamas, etc. The place itself was very clean and well maintained. If you arrive early, they do offere baggage storage so you can roam around nearby without your luggage. Overall, had a great stay here!

Great place for the value. The location is awesome too even though it is far away from the center but there’s bus stops and subway stations nearby. The plus is there’s a very good shopping grocery store and stuff just across the road and the Nijo Castle is 5 minutes walk…it is a great place to walk around in the evening.

Helpful staff. Walkable. I wish they can provide 2 pillows instead of one only for health reasons.

Very clean room and friendly staff who are there 24/7. Coffee machine, ice and tea available downstairs. Cleaning is only after 3rd day of stay. Tourist stay fee charged at the end. No laundry in the hotel. Very close to subway and bus.

The room was clean and had just enough space for 2 people, maybe not for people with bigger/larger amounts of luggage than 1/person. The hotel was located within walking distance of Nijo Castle and to Kyoto Gyoen National Garden where the Kyoto Imperial Palace is located. The Garden and the Imperial Palace grounds are free to enter, so it was a very pleasant experience regardless of the rain. If you are looking for a quieter, more laid-back area to stay in with food options, I would recommend staying at Agora Nijo.

Staff friendly and responsive to requests. Rooms in Japan are small but four bags aligning wall worked. Used entrance space to get into luggage. Toilet and tub in own space. Beds comfortable. Free water & coffee. Pajama gown & slippers helpful. Clean location.

Really lovely place to stay. It was a bit out of the way, so getting around took a bit longer. The price made up for that, however.

The Agora place is a no frills but relaxed hotel. There are amenities on the ground floor that are all you need. The room was a reasonable size and very clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is a large supermarket very close. The hotel is close to the Nijo castle and Imperial palace and an easy walk to bus stops and metro station with direct access to Kyoto station. My room was quiet but the hotel is situated on a busy noisy road.
