Resort and accommodations are pretty good. However, the beach view from YouTube looks great. However, once you are there, you can see that the beach is very polluted and you will not be able to bathe in the beach. You will be exploring other places to visit for some beach.

Couldn't recommend this hotel enough - our favourite stay in the whole of thailand. Amazing staff, amazing food, rooms are even more beautiful than the pictures, RIGHT on the beach and the best doggy ever 💕

Great location and room, a little loud at night
We stayed here for a night after our ferry back from Koh Phangan. Location is great. Just 2 minutes down the road from Big Buddha pier and 10 minutes from the airport. Really clean, spacious room and friendly staff, especially the man at reception who was incredibly helpful. The food at the restaurant was fairly decent, although the included breakfast was a little small. The main issue we had was the noise and music from nearby at night - we could hear people on the beach/near our room by the pool very clearly which was a bit annoying. Overall though a great little place on the beach, would definitely recommend for a short stay.

This was a perfect setting for a quiet and relaxing few days. The staff were welcoming and very attentive. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the informal, relaxed atmosphere provided opportunities to read, swim, sunbathe and generally chill out.

Beside the Big Buda beach ferry
The hotel is very well located if you need a place closed to the Ferry and the airport. The food and service at the restaurant is very good. The room is good and clean.

We had great 6 igts gy in the secret beach garden last week .we stayed in a beach bungalow . N2 . Bed was very comfortable, lovely breakfast . Great staff . Nice massage . Music on Sunday night . Happy hour could be a better deal . Bathroom would need a bit of looking after but good order . Nice Beach .overall a great stay

This is my second stay here and I am really glad I returned. The location is stunning, right on the beach with a great sunset view. Pool is lovely. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The restaurant does great food. I really enjoyed being there on Sunday evening for the live music too. The bungalow is clean and comfortable. Everything about this place is great!

Hidden gem
I had an amazing stay at Secret Garden. I loved the rooms. The little hut buildings were large, comptable, clean and in fantastic shape. The bed was extremely comfortable. The accessibility to the pool, beach and restaurant was exceptional. The check in was thorough and the staff escorted me to my room. All of the restaurant/bar staff were attentive to me my needs and they were always interested in how I was enjoying myself. The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the break and special Sunday night live music with buffet. I would highly recommend Secret Garden for its very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.

Good hotel by the beach, Great view
Good hotel by the beach with Great view and reasonably price! The beach might have sharp objects like see shells and broken glasses. Each room also got a little balcony with seats in the front. However, there are many cats around here. The first morning, we got the cat vomiting on the seat. The second morning, we got vomit in the shoe. However, the staff came to clean up right away. Our experience here could have been much better without cat vomits.

A little bit of Paradise
Secret Garden Beach Resort is a really lovely, relaxing place to stay. The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is excellent. The beach front is clean and fairly quiet, and is only a minute walk from any of the rooms/huts. The restaurant has fantastic food at reasonable prices - I recommend trying their smoothies/shakes as they’re delicious. Everyone was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. I loved the place so much I’ve already booked to go back!

So cute and quaint and rooms were very clean and modern. Pool was a little small but very cute. I would highly reco this hotel is you want a small intimate resort. It would also be great for a group booking.

In a fantastic location right on the beach. The staff couldn’t have done more for us, they’re lovely. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent. I would recommend renting a bike with the hotel as it is very cheap and easy to do and a good way of getting around the island. I can’t recommend this resort enough. I will be staying here again.

Perfect location
Beautiful setting! Rooms are nice and clean, grounds are absolutely stunning and the staff is friendly and helpful. Beach is beautiful and swimmable, close enough to Fisherman’s Village for the night market but far enough away from the hustle and bustle so you can relax.

A lovely stay at a beautiful beachside resort. Our room was very spacious and clean, the only fault was a little roadside noise through the bathroom door. Staff were welcoming and happy to book trips, and the restaurant was very friendly and recommended for any mealtime (rib night in particular). An added bonus for us was the kittens - they could be ignored but if you’re a cat person they were there to fussed on the verandas and so tiny and adorable!

Great place, cool little huts in a nice resort right on the beach. Staff were friendly and the food at the restaurant was really delicious. Only slight complaint was the noise; I was in cabin 9 and there might have been some kind of festival going on in the area because there was very loud music going on until long after midnight. Bit of a shame because it’s such a peaceful spot

Staves are very helpful and friendly, especially Noody. She gave us a very useful information. She also speaks very good English so very easy to communicate. Small hotel but room is specious. We chose this hotel mostly was due to the location where we needed to travel to join Full Moon Party. It is quite close to where we were taking the speed boat. Surroundings are restaurants, convenient stores, and massage place. Generally a very good stay.

Best value out there. Wonderful location on Samui, so easy for travel to and from. I cannot say enough about this hotel, beautiful rooms, amazing staff and great food. They truly make you feel like you are at home when you are there. The beach is very nice for morning and evening walks, water is nice for swimming. Very easy scooter rental at the hotel. Everything very laid back. I will stay here again for sure when on Samui.

Very comfortable hotel right by the beach
Bungalows open right onto the pool. Next to the pool is the restaurant, and next to the restaurant is the beach. This hotel is perfect if you want time to relax and drag yourself between the pool, the beach, and the bar! The reception will also organise trips and tours if you want a more active time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is only about 15 minutes drive from the airport and about 5 minutes drive from the Big Buddha pier for Koh Tao / Pha Ngan ferries. The food in the restaurant, both Thai and western, is very good. All in all a perfect stay and I would love to return.

Pleasant hotel on a busy main road
A nice hotel that offered bungalow style rooms rather than a traditional block of rooms. The room was big and circular shaped with a large bed, flat screen TV, fridge and en-suite bathroom. Entrance to the room was through two large sliding glass doors overlooking the rest of the complex. Unfortunately, the doors only had large, heavy curtains to offer any privacy from outside, so when showering and dressing, the curtains had to be closed and all of the lights switched on, leaving little opportunity to have any natural light come in. Our room was directly opposite the reception and right on the main road; this was great if we needed something from reception and offered easy access to go out, but it was noisy with cars passing along the main road all night. The location of the hotel seemed good, though we took a taxi in to Chaweng for the evening. The hotel was close to the airport and boat pier and there appeared to be plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We only stayed the one night, getting up the next day to leave for the airport. The bathroom had a power shower with an electric water heater, which was great! Until the water inexplicably stopped three times over the course of two showers. There was no warning and we were left standing, soapy and cold, wondering if it would come back on. A nice hotel in a good location, just be aware of the noise from the road and the intermittent showers

We had a great time at Secret Garden. The value for money is excellent and the service is fantastic - especially in the bar/restaurant. The food was fantastic so we ate the majority of our meals there and just enjoyed the beachfront view. The front desk didn't seem to know a lot about the available tours / things to do in the area which was a little strange, but since we mostly wanted a few days of relaxation by the beach / pool it wasn't an issue for us.

Great place to stay! A Secret Gem.
Secret Garden was lovely, nice pool, though small, enough sun lounges, great beach! Room big and clean, my only negative would be the ones close to road, experience a lot of street noise, traffic and people. Other than that small thing, I would go back, just ask for a room further away from road. :-)

We stayed as a couple for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The Secret Garden itself is great, the bungalows are a great size, the staff are brilliant and it's right on the beach. The area immediately outside the hotel is run down and not very busy, but it's close to the Fisherman's Village (not walking distance though and taxi's are a rip off) , Big Buddha Pier for trips to Koh Phangan and to the airport.

I loved my stay at the Secret Garden with a friend. The food is excellent and the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. The hotel is right on the beach, which is quiet and ideal for swimming. The only negative factors are the noise from the road and surrounding bars. All the bungalows have been refurbished but could still go with a bit more storage space. The decor could also be a bit warmer, some of it is a bit utilitarian. But all in all I loved my stay here.

Beautiful hotel, but terribly disappointing ...
The hotel resort, rooms, and grounds are well maintained and beautiful. But, we both got a gastro illness off the restaurant's food (we had only eaten at their restaurant that day and had bottled water). When we requested a late check-out to deal with the fact that we were traveling that day and also terribly sick, they could not accommodate us. To make matters even worse, the hotel staff then requested that we pay for the restaurant bill that made us sick to begin with. Only after pushing back hard did they relent in giving us the food for free (which all ended up in their sewer system). That said, they should have reimbursed our night's stay. We were forced to wait for our flight and lie on couches in the hotel room bar for 6 hours making periodic trips to the washroom as we watched 3-4 rooms being cleaned and sitting empty and unused. I understand that illness from restaurants can happen anywhere, but their casual disregard for our well being was what was most galling. This place cared more about their bottom line than making right a situation that was clearly their fault.
